It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

This boil also tasted bad. The shrimp had a funky taste that I can’t quite put my finger on. The sausage was actually breakfast sausage. Gross. Just overall, terrible and lacking flavor. To top it off, the service was subpar. The server was nice but knew very little about the restaurant and menu. I think tonight was the last time I’ll ever go.
I regret not trying it sooner! My friends and I all left satisfied with our meals. I ordered the Boil for Two (Garlic Butter & Cajun Style) with a medium spice level, the Oyster Basket, and Seafood Gumbo with Rice. Each dish was a delightful experience of flavors
The seafood was cooked to perfection, and the seasoning added just the right amount of kick The Boil for Two was a highlight, with the garlic butter and Cajun blend creating a mouthwatering combination. The Oyster Basket was fresh, and the Seafood Gumbo was rich and hearty
The ambiance further added to the experience, creating a coastal feel despite the location⛵️ The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall dining experience.
In conclusion, Shrimp Basket is a hidden gem for seafood lovers, defying expectations with its quality and taste. If you’re in the area and craving fresh, flavorful seafood, don’t hesitate to give it a try – you won’t be disappointed!
Nothing impressive about my experience here. The meal was just ok. The boiled shrimp were quarter size. I feel like most of the meat came from the several sausage links that came with it. I ordered the “garlic butter” flavor and it was just like semi salty oil bath, not butter. I could drive past this place and not miss anything.
Thanks Haley
