Our Must-Stop Seattle Tradition!
Ivar’s is hands-down the best. Every time I fly into Seattle, it is officially my first stop after leaving the airport. My whole family looks forward to it all year long! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but the fried clams and clam chowder are absolutely mandatory. The food is consistently delicious and it just feels like home. If you’re in Seattle, you have to eat here!

The clam chowder was pretty good nice small cute restaurant and even the fish and chips was good as well. I had cod it was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.

I ordered their 5 piece cod and a side of cornbread. I haven’t been to an Ivar’s in years, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere was quiet. It was nice sitting down at a restaurant and not being bombarded by loud music. The interior is small, but the seats are still roomy. I would post a pic of my food, but I ate it.

I ended up here by fate after a 19 hour drive! They have the best fish and chips. Almost tasted like chicken strips lol.,the salmon is perfect. Mandatory stop in Washington!

We stopped in for lunch. What a great Ivars. Service was friendly and helpful. Cheryl the manager made sure our food was out fast and right. Even got my phone charged for us. Kinda needed it to get to our air b&b. Thanks again Cheryl. Restaurant was very clean as was washroom. Food was prepared fast and everything was hot. U know you’re in a great restaurant when the customers are friendly and happy. I ordered the seafood combo. A little of everything. 1 piece cod, 1 piece of halibut, clam strips, popcorn shrimp along with fries. Added a cup of there famous clam chowder. So yummy. We also ordered 3 piece cod and fries. Also fried to perfection. We ate outside as it was a beautiful sunny day. Cheryl came outside and left some wet napkins and a couple mint chocolate wafers. Checked that everything was ok. The combo I got was loaded, nice fish size lots of clams and plenty of shrimp. We will be back. Hopefully before we head back to Canada.

I wish I were better at catching names because I feel I can’t give proper shout outs to the ones that deserve it, but our servers were all great yesterday.
Great for a quick bite to eat and a nice place to cool down in this heatwave we’re experiencing.

Stopped by after flying back from a long trip and was pleasantly surprised. Great service, clean restaurant, clean bathrooms, and the food, especially the fries, were perfect!!
We live on the peninsula so it is a very long trip, but if we are in the neighborhood we will be back.

Very greasy and meh. This is my second time trying it because my husband loves their fish and chips. I won’t go back, didn’t care for it at all. I took a bite of his fish and oil dripped out. Yuck. The fries were good. Last time I had the clam chowder, and it was very so-so.

The chicken was quite good! This is a greasy and heavy meal, however, so be prepared and be hungry, otherwise you’ll feel it as a gut bomb. Classic fast-food style seafood and chicken that’s fairly good quality. I probably won’t be back in a while cause it’s so heavy, but worth trying out if you’re in the right mood.

Today, Saturday, 12/13, I ordered 1 4piece and 1 5piece. The time of order was 5:52 PM. Even on the receipt it gives the correct amounts but when I opened the order I had only 1 4piece and 1 3piece. In addition, there was only 1 tartar sauce and 1 ketchup for 2 order items.! But we had lots of french fries for sure.
Very disappointing and frustrating.
