La Estrella is hands down one of the best places to grab a quick bite in Boyle Heights. The carne asada tacos are absolutely delicious, and the salsas are on point. The staff is super friendly and gives off such a welcoming vibe. I love the casual, no-frills atmosphere here. Great spot for authentic Mexican food without the touristy prices

Food was great. Place was full when I got there. We had to claim the table since there was no one assigning seats. We sat down, people burly left so it wasn’t clean. The lady came took the plates, left a wet rag. I cleaned the table myself. She came back and took our order. Food came in quick. There’s loud music playing and the space is small. It’s no Dennys but the food is A1
