Waiting over an hour at Jack in the Box felt less like fast food and more like a slow-burn social experiment. When the food finally arrived, it was… confusing at best.
The “ultimate” cheeseburger appeared to be on a cheese diet , barely any cheese to be found. The “fried” rice was neither fried nor warm; it was hard, cold, and tasted like it had only heard about a wok in passing. And the sausage? A generous four pieces, as if rationed during a meat shortage.
If this was an attempt at minimalism, it succeeded. Unfortunately, as a meal, it did not. One hour of waiting for cold, underwhelming food is not the kind of surprise anyone is craving. Won’t be back.

If I could give zero stars for the service I would! I had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was extremely poor. The staff we interacted with were rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in helping customers.
To make things worse, they were out of multiple items on the menu, which made ordering frustrating. Even after finally placing our order, it took an incredibly long time for our food to come out.
Also when other customers came in the staff would turn them away saying that there was a minimum of 30 minute wait and the lobby and drive through was empty! Definitely not a good look!
The only reason we were eventually helped properly was because a manager who was off the clock happened to come in and stepped in to assist us. She was the only person who treated us with professionalism and actually tried to resolve the situation. If it weren’t for her, we likely would have left without being helped at all.
Overall, the lack of professionalism, the rude attitude from staff, the limited menu availability, and the long wait time made this a very unpleasant experience. They should make customers feel welcome and valued, but unfortunately that was not the case here. I hope management takes steps to improve staff training, communication, and overall service because this experience was far below what anyone should expect.

Closed even though they have posted 24/7 hours of operation.
We just got in for our vacation and had a car full of screaming hangery toddlers. It says online and on there door sign open 24/7. It was around 11 and we were in the drive thru line. They were letting cars in really slowly, like 5 mins per car. When we were 3 cars away, and in line for probably around 15 mins at this point the line just stopped moving. After another 10 minutes the car in front (driver) came out and informed us that they were told it was closed. There were 15 cars in line, and no employee said anything so we were just waiting there unnecessarily. Also, they didnt give any explanation as to why they were closed when there regular hours of operation was 24/7. Will not ever be going back

The drive thru took a very long time with no one else in line and not a busy night. After waiting at the window for a long time we received some of our order and then waited about another 5 minutes before the girl came back and ask if she had forgotten anything we said yes and listed off 7 items. The burgers were very tasty but the service horrible.

Horrible, dine in open till 9. Showed up at 7:15 and it was drive thru only. Went to order all day breakfast, was told it was not available. Along with about 5 other items. Ordered a combo and never got the fries. Just overall disappointing and a really long wait in drive thru. Skip it.

This is the worse jack in the box ever the workers are so dam lazy they lie all the time about the machines broken or they sold out cause they can’t even do there job simple and easy need better workers I order tacos and got all Kine of nasty veggies all in a dam box like I was a dam animal I so disappointed I never felt disappointed in my life I hope Jack in the box gets close down for good and manger plz do ur dam job or I can take ur job for u ughhh

This was by far the worst Jack in the Box experience in all of my years. I arrived in Kona really late so this was one of the only options available, so I figured, it can’t be that bad… well, it was that bad. The fries tasted like they had been dropped in the oil more than once and the burger patty itself was disgusting (totally burnt). The pictures don’t show it but the tacos were not even digestible! Here’s the thing, I hate posting negative reviews on the island because this is someone’s job. But if you (as an employee) don’t do a great job of greeting customers with at least a smile and ensuring their food is handled properly, then the negative reviews are warranted. Sorry not sorry.

My husband and attempted to use the 24 hour drive through. It was 9pm on February 5, 2026. We were greeted by staff on the intercom, we weren’t ready to order. Firstly, the sign is so dark, we had to use the light on our phone to see the menu. Once ready to order we indicated that we were ready. We were told that they were only taking mobile orders, and thinking of closing at 10pm. What? How does that make any sense???BOOO Jack off box

Someone PLEASE help this Kailua Kona, HI store. They are severely under staffed & probably need to be retrained, learn how to run a fast food store and better customer service!! 5 years now I’ve been coming here I have only seen 2-3 ppl working(working very slowly) in the kitchen at a time plus the drive thru attendant. Isn’t fast food supposed to be fast? I get it you need to cook the food but waiting in line for 45 minutes is ridiculous & that hasn’t been the 1st time waiting that long either. The dining room is never open I’m guessing because of staffing. My family and I would like to come to jack in the box more often but because of how long the drive thru time is we avoid it… Tonight there were cars blowing their horns in line because we were put on hold at the ordering sign for about 10 minutes after we pulled up. I won’t go back already it ain’t worth waiting almost an hour.
