We ate here with 3 people. Everything came fast for sushi that is freshly made. You can really taste the fresh ingrediënts and that they don’t reuse old rice. There were also rolls we hadn’t tried before. We ordered two times and had 7 rolls in total and a bottle of wine and sangria. The drinks and service were good as well. We were cold at one point and they fixed it. It was a great experience overall!

So, the owner of the place is a Tsilaaki and therefore has a full understanding of gluten-free allergies/sensitivities. Amazing. Huge variety of dishes. I asked for the gluten-free cooked salmon sushi and also gluten-free vegetarian pad thai, and I got it. The pad thai was salty (rice noodles), but the sushi was perfect. Finally, we ordered gluten-free vegetarian gyoza. Patient and kind hosts.

We went on a Monday evening and the restaurant was already really busy — a good sign! They could probably use one more waitress to keep up with all the tables, but everything still ran smoothly. The food came out fresh and full of flavor, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall, a lovely experience and definitely worth a visit!

The strawberry sushi roll was surprisingly good, however the rest was pretty mediocre and doesn’t really justify the price. You’re paying for a popular tourist location, but unfortunately that’s the biggest negative. The street in that area is quite dirty, garbage and cigarette butts everywhere, stains on the ground both sticky and stinky. Unfortunately the immediate area around los setas where the outdoor seating is smells a lot like pee, because people pee there at night. It just isn’t a good atmosphere because of that. It would be different if all the local shops and the city kept it clean, but they don’t. You’re better off getting a few blocks away and enjoying a better atmosphere for better food for your buck. The service wasn’t great, we didn’t get wasabi served with our sushi and had to ask for it, but took awhile to get their attention. The server had ear buds in the whole time. Very limited vegetarian/vegan options.

My friends and I wanted to eat out and we came across Tropiqual. This seemed like a really great place to eat. We all ordered some drinks which we got besides one of my friends. We waited a while to see if they would bring it later or to check if they forgot. We eventually asked it after we got the sushi. The waiter told us he forgot but poured a extra bit into the glass.
My friends ordered Sushi, the plating looked great and they really enjoyed it. Only another friend didn’t receive her chopsticks by arrival. Nevertheless I ordered noodles with chicken which I still didn’t receive after my friends got their sushi. I asked if it was almost ready but it seemed like they forgot. The waiter came to me again and said that they didn’t have the egg-based noodles anymore but instead I could choose the rice-based noodles. Which I eventually received after all my friends were done eating. I don’t know if it’s a culture thing to not receive the food at the same time but it felt like a mess.
I really wanted to give a higher rating but due to all the unfortunate events 3/5 stars is reasonable. I hope to give a higher rating, if I ever get back.

Terrible experience. We went there last night because of the great reviews and veggie options. We ordered a bunch of starters of which we got 3 and then it appears they lost interest in serving us. Every dish was brought out by a different waiter. A 4th waiter had to be waved over to check on the status of our Dragon roll and Guacamole dream. He said it will take a little time. We asked for more water. We waited 10 mins, then waved him over he said treinta minute, we don’t have the rice for the sushi, no explanation on the onion rings. If we hadn’t waved him over he wouldn’t have told us and no sign of the water. He didn’t offer to go on to the main course or alternative options that will be ready sooner, like he was just not interested in serving us. We said cancel the order and give us the check and he disappeared. No check. If they believed in good customer service the least they should do is make the rest of our visit easier and give us the check and let us leave. It was 8:30 pm, not closing time either. We went to the entrance to pay and they asked us if we wanted a table. We said we wanted to pay and three waiters and three conversations later got the check. No apology, and their loss actually. We were eyeing their wines and expensive entrees for the main course. For a good restaurant the only response to this would be an apology, not excuses.

Our evening in the Tropiqual was super cool! The size of the menu is perfect, but we couldn’t find many variations of vegetarian sushi. That’s why the chef asked us, if he can create something for us and this was a great idea! We got sushi variations we never heard of or tasted before and all of them were super tasty. We can really only recommend this restaurant.
Also, the waiters were very friendly and patient with our Spanish and tried to help us understand it because we didn’t want to speak English. When we’re back in Sevilla, we will definitely come here again!
