My wife and I have been going to Slice Palace for many years. It’s always one of our must visit spots whenever we’re in Williamsburg. When we arrived this time and saw it was under new management, we were honestly a little nervous that it might not be the same.

Well… we were blown away.

I didn’t think there was any way they could improve on what we already loved, but I was wrong. From start to finish, everything was excellent. The food was outstanding, the drinks were spot on, and the service was absolutely perfect.

What really stood out was that both of the new owners came by our table to check on us. That personal touch meant a lot. The service was warm, attentive, and genuine.

We’ve been coming here for years, and it’s safe to say the new owners are going to be very successful. We’ll definitely be back!

The music and cozy vibe here was a delight. Obviously though you care about the food. My wife and I got a spread of appetizer, entrees, and bread. I personally elected to get a tandori malai chicken, and the chicken and vegetables came to the table audibly sizzling, and I had the best Indian vegetables I’ve ever had. These folks can make a mean plate of deliciously charred vegetables and succulent chicken.

My wife has a butter chicken which was rich and perfect for dipping.

And oh what delights there were for dipping. Easily the best naan I’ve ever had. We got the chili garlic topped naan, and it was smoky and has just a hint of heat.

Our appetizer was amazing as well, but honest overshadowed by just how good the entrees were. Still, the aloo tikka chat was a flavorful blend of spices, tomatoes, chutney and potato that I would have happily eaten as a meal unto itself.

Regardless, as someone with more than a few Indian restaurants under my belt, this was a delight on all accounts.

Spice Palace has officially become my go-to Indian restaurant, not just in town but across the entire region — and yes, that includes beating out Richmond. From the moment you walk in, the experience is consistently top-tier, and that’s thanks in large part to Joe who always provide the best service. They are welcoming, attentive, and genuinely care about making every visit memorable.

The food is on another level. Every dish is packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with care and expertise. The quality and taste are unmatched anywhere nearby. My absolute favorite is the turmeric chicken tikka — it’s hands-down the best I’ve ever had. Tender, flavorful, and unforgettable and always comes out sizzling hot.

If you’re looking for Indian food that sets the standard for the whole region, Spice Palace is it. Once you eat here, nothing else compares.

My family and I have been coming here for sometime for the buffet on the weekends and always enjoy it! Today, I was flying solo and tried their lunch platter offered on weekdays. It was PERFECTION. I will definitely be back on weekdays now as well. Highly recommend!

I was first introduced to indian food when I was up in Okinawa, Japan. It was then when I fell in love with Indian cuisines. It became my normal routine, until after 3 years it was time to go back to the United States. My spouse and I started eating there every day before we left. We got back in the US in 2021. Now since we have been back we have tried countless Indian restaurants big and small with no successful comparison to the authentic one we been to TILL NOW. We tried Spice Palace Indian Restaurant in Williamsburg, VA. It is the best and only one that has come close to my first time experience. 10 out of 10 stars. I was a little weary at first because it’s a buffet style place, but my wifey encouraged me to try it. Ohh my my I Am GLAD I DID. I will continue to travel here from North Carolina and soon to be Texas. The interior design it makes you feel as if you’re in a different country. Owner and staff are very welcoming.

Came in for the lunch buffet. There were a decent variety of choices available and the food did not taste or look as if it had been sitting under heating lamps all morning. I am not a Indian cuisine expert so I can’t give a comparison, but with my limited knowledge it was pretty damn good to me! The atmosphere was nice and the owner and his staff were friendly and accommodating.

I ordered Hakka noodles and what I received was nowhere close to actual Hakka noodles. The noodles were sticky, bland, and completely lacking flavor. The texture was awful and tasted nothing like authentic Hakka-style cooking.

The chicken was supposed to be tossed into the noodles, but instead they just served chicken 65 on the side, not mixed in at all. That alone shows a complete lack of understanding of the dish.

Overall, the flavors were really bad, poorly executed, and extremely disappointing. Definitely not worth ordering if you’re expecting real Hakka noodles.
