Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful staff & delicious food. A great place to bring out-of-town relatives! I have never had bad food or service here – and we live literally across the street and have gone here more times than I can count.
Great restaurant, I strongly recommend.
Also! They sell mango lassis!! Definitely try some in the summertime!! (Buy some with their tasty special naan!) <3

This place was delicious! The food was well portioned and amazing, a little over priced but worth it. The wait staff was attentive and polite and while the restaurant itself was clean and well lit. I would highly recommend for a date or a small party between 3-5 people.

Upon entering you notice the decor is fresh and ambiance is nice. It’s a good place to go with family. Keeping in mind it’s an Indian restaurant they have 5 spice levels which are fairly accurate. We ordered variety of dishes in different spice levels. Everything we ordered was delicious. Only thing we didn’t love was one of the deserts, the staff was very professional about it and offered to replace it which we didn’t want and they refunded it. Staff was nice and courteous and we got our meal in good time. We will be going again to try different items on the menu. Definitely recommend.

I’ve dined at this restaurant every so often over the last 20 years and it’s gone down hill steadily. We stopped by for the lunch buffet and should have left after seeing how limited it was. There were no veggie options. I don’t eat chicken and 90% of their offerings were chicken. There weren’t any pacoras or samosas. The naan was flaccid and cold. It’s like they set out the items and just left until dinnertime. Better restaurants add items throughout the buffet hours – mixing things up a bit. Nope. When I made a request they told me to order off the menu. Don’t expect those menu items to be comped either (as some restaurants do). Our flavorless lunch set us back nearly $60 – twice what I expected to pay. Sixty dollars for lunch. Can you believe that? We won’t be back. There are now other options for Indian food in Spokane.

4/16/25 update – another hot and delicious lunch buffet. Five stars.
Wow! This is our new favorite restaurant in Spokane. With so many buffets, the food is all just bland. The buffet is hot and appealing. It’s on the smaller side, BUT everything has amazing flavor. The meats are moist and very flavorful. You can really taste all the spices. Interior is modern and clean. Friendly and prompt staff. 5/5!!

WOWZERS! I’m amazed by this gem of a restaurant! They had SO MANY Vegetarian options! We got the buffet and they had almost all the things on the vegetarian menu I wanted to try for lunch! I was blown away by the flavors that were in the tiki masala, daal soup, their naan bread was delicious! The service was incredible and the atmosphere was so chic, clean, modern and just an overall beautiful experience! HIGHLY RECOMMEND IF YOU ARE VEGAN/VEGETARIAN!!!! Ps this was my first experience truly trying out Indian cuisine and I felt like I got to taste everything I have always wanted to try!

Loved the food here! Portions are small and the building is small, but the flavors are large! There is also a large portion of the menu for vegetarian/vegan dishes. I wouldn’t recommend this for large groups. The seating area is clean and up-to-date. The bathrooms could be kept up better but for the most part they are clean. The service is great and they have nice baby high chairs.

We don’t get to Spokane very often, but each of the three times we have over the past two years, we have eaten at Top of India. The first two times it was pretty good, food and service were always above average and although the place is very clean, it just seems a little bland for an Indian food restaurant (no music, very little Indian decor). We came back this time (10/21/2025) and immediately after checking in at our hotel, headed to Top of India for dinner. We walked in and waited for almost 10 minutes for someone to come and seat us (there was only 1 party of three customers in the restaurant – who were seated and waiting for their food). My Wife said, “Well, maybe we should just leave.” I went to the kitchen and got the attention of one of the Cooks to ask if they could send out a Hostess or Server to seat us instead. I should have taken my Wife’s suggestion, because the food this time was terrible this time. I ordered the Butter Chicken, which was watery, had very little chicken, and just tasted flat. Usually Butter Chicken has gravy that is nice and thick and rich, but this did not have either. My Wife ordered the Vegetable Korma and although there were plenty of vegetables, the Korma was more like a gel, not a stew. I ate about 1/3 of my Butter Chicken, and my Wife (who was completely grossed out) had a few bites of hers. On the plus side, the Indian Chai Masala Tea was good, any my mango lassi was good, but the food was just sub- par. We got to go boxes just to be polite, then took our food back to our hotel where we threw it away. It was a waste of $50 some dollars. We will not be returning.

The service was impeccable, I’d be curious to see what the dinner rush is like on a Friday night because we came in about 4pm.
We ordered chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani as our entrees. Delicious!
The rice was nice and fluffy, I just ate my leftovers and they heated up great, nothing was dried out.

Top of India was great 20 years ago but it’s just overpriced ordinary now. The four of us left there thinking the quality was akin to freezer section fare. That’s unacceptable. The restaurant industry (even in Spokane) is too competitive to be dishing up mediocre meals. Also, their Bollywood TV has been replaced by FoxNews. No one needs that
