Hate to give this place a bad review because I’ve been here multiple times and the food is always good. Hair in my food is a good enough reason for a bad review. That should never happen. First thing I saw when I opened the box for my wrap was this.

Came in here for lunch one afternoon as we were in the area shopping on Saturday. I’ve been here several times before being from the Midwest and this franchise originating in Texas. It’s always good to go to a deli and have a smorgasbord of options to choose from no matter what your taste is. I usually go for the ham muffaletta, but this time the new spicy Sicilian sub caught my eye. This was absolutely amazing and a good size for one person and spicy, but not over the top that makes you miserable eating it. My wife got the bigger better BLT, which is her old standby favorite. It’s a great sandwich that can’t get any better having bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and fried egg. The all you can eat salad bar is legendary as well if your in the mood for a light meal. Being just off I-40 highway, this place can get packed in a hurry. If you plan on coming during a popular time, plan to get here early as the tons of seating will not last long. Dont forget the free frozen yogurt dessert cones when finished with your meal.

Jason’s Deli is always a great place to eat. After physical therapy at the VA Clinic in Hickory my wife & I always grab a late lunch or early dinner. The lunch hour is over & we immediately get served. Food is wonderful with a great selection of assorted dishes. We are never disappointed & the self serve ice cream is fantastic.

Sweetest and most helpful and friendly staff ever! They went out of their way to make sure we plus everyone else in the restaurant enjoyed a very pleasant dining experience. It’s super clean inside. Food was prepared correctly, served at the right temperature and tasted great! The menu provides a huge variety of options. The salad bar is excellent- stocked up, super fresh offerings on it and lots and lots of choices to make your salad great. Plus there’s plenty of cracker choices too and mini muffins, lots of salad dressings and condiments as well. There are plenty of seating choices too. This is one of the best places to eat in Hickory!

Food is pretty standard. It’s like Panera. The soups we got were good. The salad bar was stocked and seemed fresh. The service was poor however. The one cashier was rude and inpatient. When we wanted to buy another item we actually waited until she got off the register and someone else replaced her. She was really that unpleasant to interact with. The gentleman who took our second order was kind and helpful.

I ordered the ranchero wrap and ultimate blt salad. The flavor was good on the wrap, but it was only filled 1/3 of what the picture shows. Definitely not worth $12! The guacamole is just crushed avocado, not the real thing at all. I also ordered the green goddess dressing for my salad but was given the standard ranch dressing and they didn’t put chicken on it, but charged me for it! I’ve ordered here before and always had a good experience until today. Not sure I’ll bother with this place again.

Everytime I eat here I enjoy the food. Its not fast food but the ordering moves fast and you can sit while you wait. Food does come out pretty quickly, has a nice salad bar, and free ice cream!! Great place for lunch.

My wife and mother-in-law ate here recently, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The food was poorly prepared, lacked flavor, and was nowhere near worth the price being charged. On top of that, the service was inattentive and unprofessional, which only made the experience worse. Overall, everything from the food quality to the service was well below par. It ended up being a complete waste of money, and we would not recommend this place to anyone.

We eat her quite often because we like the salad bar. However the past several times, there has been a drastic decline in the cleanliness and safe food handling with the salad bar. It doesn’t seem as if the attendants have been trained at all on safe food handling practices. The last 2 times we have been the attendant never changed gloves, while watching we saw them deliver food to tables, empty trash, wipe nose, and restock the salad bar all with the same gloves. They also broke down the bar took parts to the back to wash them and then brought them back out only to set it on the filthy floor before putting it back on the bar…. Manager came over after running a register and doing whatever else and adjusted tongs and food on the bar without even having gloves on. We did not say anything because the managers know what is happening and did not try to make corrections… the entire afternoon shift needs to be trained properly before someone becomes seriously ill…. As much as we enjoy Jason’s Deli we will not be returning to this location anytime soon in hopes that the staff gets trained properly before someone fall ill. If you go here please keep a watchful eye and protect your health.

Every employee is friendly, the gluten free options are many, and it is very clean and calm atmosphere! I got the chicken panini with gluten free bread, it was delicious. Julie was very helpful and kind, a wonderful employee. All employees I saw and interacted with paid attention to all customers, I was very impressed.
