My wife, son (15), daughter (12), and I had brunch on a Saturday around 1pm. We were seated quickly even though it was busy.
I ordered the barbacoa breakfast tacos with the pico de gallo on the side. Wife ordered the farmhouse. Son ordered chimichurristeak and egg hash. Daughter got the Belgian waffle with a size of million dollar bacon.
I asked for decaf coffee which our waitress forgot until I asked again 10 minutes later. Food came out quickly but my son’s eggs were undercooked. Our waitress had it remade which then turned out excellent. My Pico was not on the side, not a big deal, but i preferred not having it on the tacos.
Service was below average, likely because it was very busy. She was friendly.
Overall, the food was very good. We spent $67.08. We would return.

On December 29, 2025, I enjoyed breakfast at First Watch on W. Market St. in Fairlawn, Ohio. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the staff truly stood out. My waitress, Debbie, was a ray of sunshine on a freezing day. Her warm and genuine smile made me forget about the cold outside. She was incredibly attentive, checking in to ensure my meal was perfect and asking if I needed anything else. Debbie is not just an asset to First Watch; she embodies the spirit of exceptional service.

Yesterday’s carne asada hash for my long awaited brunch was DESTROYED by incorrectly prepared eggs.
Remember the days when businesses would comp you or at least take a few bucks off your order if it was MOST DEFINITELY their fault? I got a “We’ll do better next time.” response to THEIR QUESTION “How is everything?”
I ordered eggs over medium & these are the eggs I got. No, I will not send them back & wait for another order because I’ve worked in many kitchens & abhor food waste, & you know this plate will be thrown in the trash !
I sneakily asked 2 other servers, “Would you say these eggs are over medium?”
Answer, “Those are most definitely over easy.”
Why do they assume there will be a next time in this economy?
I GUESS ALL THIS STUFF IS MOOT
The food at First Watch is fantastic. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a special I didn’t like. Here at West Market I had an especially enjoyable time.
My usual is the Baja turkey burger with greens. I order the dressing on the side, pour it on & it makes the best chopped greens you’ve ever tasted!

I was on my trip back from Canton, OH. I stayed overnight in Akron and was looking for an breakfast restaurant. I decided to try this place. I was overwhelmed from the selections on the menus. I had the Bloody Mary and the Avocado toast with a side of pork sausages. It was GREAT! If I lived closer, this would be a frequent rotation for breakfast.

What a nice spot to grab a bite! The building is clean. The decor works well for the space. We had Ashley as our server- she was such a gem! Her energy was pure and smile warm. She spoke & included “us” to say that she was also part of us that morning. & she was. I liked that! Chile Chorizo Omelette left me satisfied.

Isaac was very friendly and accommodating. Great service. I love the food here! The menu is large and they are pretty lax about substitutions. We looked at the menu for a while before deciding because everything sounded so good. I have been here a bunch and it is amazing each and every time. Plan to wait for a table as they are busy in the mornings but they tend to slow down around lunch. P.S. get the million dollar bacon.

The food was so good! I love the environment and the chairs were super comfortable. My only issue would be they are not very attentive with the community table, but despite that I don’t mind a little wait for some hot fresh breakfast and with Christmas right around the corner I’d expect a little wait. The potatoes were very tasty along with the egg sandwich. I for sure plan on going back to try more. The menu has so many unique things on it including the ricotta pancakes. Every serve there was very nice and lovely!

This was the second time my group of friends and I went to this place. We thought the first time was just a mishap and wanted to give it another chance. Place was buzzing and super busy.
I can say with confidence we will not be back. Sadly my group and I get together every month and try the different eateries.
Offers a lot of unique and “healthy” items. I have to say both times I have been there I could feel my arteries hardening from the amount of salt on the food.
Where else can you go and get served burnt toast and bacon?. YUK I had both sent back. No sauce on the one breakfast sandwhich. I would have never taken that to the table. Very expensive for the quality of food.
