The custard is very good, but I felt it was a bit too smooth for my liking. Not that this was anything major, but it just threw me off a bit. Great portion size!!

Love coming to Andy’s but this location is the worst. Service is extremely slow despite the amount of employees present. Also not sure why my medium concrete was not filled all the way? Will stick to other locations in the future.

Andy’s Frozen Custard in The Colony has officially become my weekly ritual—sun-blasted August evenings and chilly January nights alike. The custard is unbelievably rich and silky because they make it fresh all day and serve it right away (they literally make it hourly), which you can taste in every spoonful. They’re open year-round—and even kit out the space for winter—so my “summer and winter weekly treat” is always on schedule.

The menu is a candy store for grown-ups. I rotate through Concretes like the BootDaddy (Oreo®, crème caramel, hot fudge), Triple Chocolate, and the Ooey Gooey with Heath® and almonds; when I’m feeling extra, the James Brownie Funky Jackhammer (peanut butter, brownies, hot fudge core) is outrageous. Old-school sundaes (Ozark Turtle!), banana splits, malts, shakes, floats—plus take-home pints, quarts, and the Pick 6 of frozen FreezCretes™—mean there’s always an excuse to come back.

Seasonal runs seal the deal—Pumpkin Pie in the fall, Strawberry Shortcake in spring, peach treats in summer, candy-cane vibes in winter—so even my “regular order” keeps changing with the calendar. Honestly, the custard’s dense, ultra-creamy texture and the toppings’ quality make it hard not to visit five days a week. If you see me there next week, I’m just keeping the streak alive.

Yumm! Great place to get a cool treat. The service was quick. We got our order in less than a couple minutes at most. The ingredients were fresh with just the right amount. No skimping on the add ins!

Stopped here yesterday after having some Canes for my first meal of the day. Immediately when I walked up towards the building a very pleasant young man greeted me.

I ordered a small vanilla custard sundae, with Crushed pineapples, Strawberries, and Peanuts.
Now my first sundae was filled up to the top but the peanuts were whole not not crunchy looking peanuts that appear in my photo. I should’ve just taken the original sundae that was prepared first and just asked for the crunchy peanuts. This second sundae was not worth $8 and a tip. I know going forward I have to be SPECIFIC even though that should be a question the person taking my order should ask the customer before just preparing whatever they choose to. Especially if there’s different options to choose from.

I’ll still stop at this location whenever I’m in The Colony, TX. area

I enjoyed some of the finest custard at this place – truly exceptional. While it’s been a while since my last visit, I recall being able to watch the employees craft it from scratch through the glass windows. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I have a peanut allergy, so I’m always extra cautious when ordering dessert. I recently got ice cream from this location, and thankfully my boyfriend took the first bite. Because he immediately noticed a strong peanut butter flavor. If I had taken that bite myself, it could’ve been a medical emergency.
Not only was it frustrating and careless on their part, but I had to throw the whole thing away, which is especially disappointing when you’re spending money on a treat. For a business serving so many mix-ins and toppings, they need to take allergies seriously, clearly label their ingredients, and have specific utensils for handling peanut products. This kind of oversight is unacceptable.

Andy’s always exceeds my expectations. The custard is served fresh and never leaves me unsatisfied. This location was not busy when I went, and I was able to walk right up and order my jackhammer. I highly recommend this location for their friendly service and great atmosphere.
