Not your mother’s coffee shop. A cozy neighborhood hideaway in Waikiki serving handcrafted coffee, cocktails, and ono grinds from 7am to 10pm daily.

Nice little gem off the beaten path. So chill and good prices. Bartenders looking at others reviews it’s mixed but just depends on your style and what kind of vibe you’re looking for.

The Paniolo Cafe & Bar is a real gem. The Cappuccino is great and the pastries were perfectly fresh. In the morning, Anita is wonderful to speak with. When Anita isn’t working, Ben spins the best tunes in Waikiki and is a real character. In the evening, Julie crafts cocktails like an artist. I have never seen a bartender with such precision and skill. This place is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Waikiki.

This place showed up as a coffee shop so I decided to try it, but it is not a coffee shop. The cozy setting at the hotel entrance is nicely decorated and shields waikiki traffic but can’t escape the noise, & it’s one of the worst espressos I’ve had on the island, smarter customers brought their coffees back here. Even the bartender seemed unsure & wary of my order. It’s a little bar, plain and simple.

I had the worst bar experience with my family at this place. I don’t usually write reviews and definitely not ones where I have had bad experience but I wanted to write it so that people don’t come in and face the same treatment like what we did.
This is the rudest Bartender I have ever talked with. First we came in and sat at the sofa that was smelling like puke so we changed seats. We talked for 30 mins but the Bartender never came to talk to us and was ignoring us the entire time so I thought that maybe I had to go up to the bar to talk to him. I went up to the bar and the Bartender was immediately hostile. I don’t know what we did that perked him off. There were other people at the bar that were talking and shouting way louder so I don’t know why he was mad at us. I asked him what was in the non alcoholic drink and he talked in one word answers like Coke. When I asked if there was something else then he again said just one word Sprite. When I asked him if he has any juice then he said Pineapple and Orange. He was talking as though he didn’t want to serve us anything at all. When I ordered 4 drinks for us then the guy said that there are only 2 drinks per room as welcome drink and said “choose 2”. I was done with his attitude so I went to the hotel reception to confirm this. As he watches me walk tto the reception he says “Sir if you’re going to get the manager of the Hotel, let me tell you that I am the manager of this Bar and you’re only getting 2 no matter who you talk to.”
I don’t know what his problem was, maybe he was racist or just tired from a long day or something else but that doesn’t excuse this behavior. My brother heard this entire exchange from his seat and I had to stop him from talking to this Bartender. I wish this was a one sided story or I was exaggerating but to be honest I still can’t figure out what made him act the way he did. Poor soul.

I stayed at the Equus and the Paniolo Bar was right downstairs! It was the best comfy adorable place to get a good standard breakfast. My boyfriend and I went there every morning and the staff was always so sweet and welcoming. During the last four days of our stay, we had this adorable man serve us breakfast. HE WAS SO SWEET! I absolutely loved him! The latte’s were amazing and the dishware was so lovely. All the breakfast drinks were doppio’s so expect strong lattes and macchiatos! It turns into a cute local bar at night. The seats by the pool are also incredible. So comfy, please swing by here when you have the chance!

Hidden gem in paradise! Paniolo’s felt like the local bar down the street where everybody knows your name. The atmosphere was lively and homey all at once, and Yulia treated all of her customers like her own personal friends. We loved it so much we went back every day. Perfect little spot for a quick breakfast bite, brunch drinks, or skillfully crafted cocktails. To top it off (the experience and the drinks) Yulia’s added touch of art makes you feel uniquely special. A feeling one doesn’t always find or even expect from a lobby bar in a hotel.

Ben was an awesome barista and conversationalist. Felt very friendly and the capuccinos and lattes were delicious. Would definitely come back.

Sweet little spot, and I hope I don’t ruin it by another good review… but I have visited each cafe within about 400 yards of this spot and found that none of them have the Aloha spirit at all, however, from the moment you meet the barista at Paniolo the staff exude a friendliness that is missing in Waikiki. Ben was manning the bar in the morning, and he was charming each day.
The morning Cofee is brewed with a good robusta style bean and the food is tasty, even including a home made breakfast muffin. I won’t visit again the bigger cafes in the nearby hotels, which have few redeeming qualities.
