Walked in to a almost septic smell. Was hungry figured it would pass. Ordered the 4 cheese Mac and cheese with peppercorn chicken tenders. Macaroni was literally wet like they didn’t drain it and zero cheese. See attached pic. The manager was nice enough to offer me a burger instead. But I ended up having to pay for that. I won’t be back and I don’t advise anybody to go.

I was am traveling from tn to down here to see my family for Christmas and staying in a hotel and figured we would eat here but no cause I spent 80 dollars and didnt get half my food and my food was cold when my husband picked it up and then we asked for silver ware cause staying in a hotel dont have any and they wanted to be mean about giving it to us. I mean all my food was wrong I asked for a med well steak it wasn’t and my husband asked for med rare and it was rare!! Just very disappointed!!

I am writing to express serious concern regarding the behavior of a waitress, at your Maysville Applebee’s location. This evening, my teenage son and his friends dined at your restaurant and experienced an incident that I feel must be brought to your immediate attention.

After paying their bill, my son noticed that an additional tip had been added to the transaction, an amount beyond what the group had intended to leave. When he respectfully pointed out this discrepancy, the waitress insisted that the unauthorized tip was “ok,” dismissing my son’s objection and suggesting he would simply “be in the negative” if he lacked the necessary funds. Only after my son clarified that his bank account was set up as a minor and had certain protections did the waitress finally correct the charge.

The group had already left a tip in cash. The attempt to impose an extra gratuity without consent is unacceptable and can reasonably be interpreted as an act of dishonesty, especially considering this was done to minors. Such conduct not only violates the principles of ethical service but also undermines customer trust.

I request that this incident be thoroughly investigated, appropriate action taken, and confirmation provided that Applebee’s does not condone or tolerate this kind of behavior. It is critical that young patrons, and all customers, are treated with honesty and respect in your establishment.

We just wanted to take a minute to say how much this location has improved. After we gave up on it years ago, we’ve been coming again for the last couple months and the food and service have been great! Definitely a huge improvement and we’re happy to have the option again! Stopped in for lunch on 11/16/25. Got seated, order taken immediately. Server brought our drinks and appetizer quickly. I Thought we we going to have a good experience. Unfortunately, we ended up waiting over an hour for our food; while tables who arrived long after we did received their orders, ate and left. Got seated at 12:30 didn’t leave until after 2pm, in a mostly vacant restaurant. My wife and I’s food was luke warm at best. I get being short staffed and maybe taking a little longer totally sympathetic to that. But, over an hour before anyone even stops to check is unacceptable. Not to mention a lack of staff to even ask about our order.

Service is always hit or miss here but today was the worst I’ve ever experienced. We were sat at a high top in the bar area but there was no server for 30 minutes finally the bartender came and supposedly took our order was another 10 min before drinks came. 45 min later still no food when all we ordered was appetizers every single table that arrived after us in the non bar area had received food. Finally just had to walk out

The service sucked, and food was disgusting. Took my boyfriend last night to celebrate valentines day since I work today and honestly McDonald’s would have been better. He is still sick to his stomach from the food. We will not be coming back to eat here and will not suggest this restaurant to anyone else.

Ordered our food and an appetizer and our drinks. Drinks came out and then 30 minutes or so later our waitress said oh very sorry forgot to put your order in. She said your appetizer will be out shortly which was spinach dip that was horrible and couldn’t eat was cold and so salty that was not edible. Then our food came out and tasted like it was straight out of the microwave, I got ribs and my wife got the bourbon street chicken both horrible. This is the 3rd and final time we will eat at this restaurant and it’s not all Applebee’s as we go to several different ones. This place needs better management or a new owner to bring it up to par.

Food was good. But service was poor on two separate visits 9/26 and 9/28. Slow to serve on 9/26 and then again on 9/28 slow to serve, and when food finally arrived, no silverware or napkins were supplied. When utensils were requested, several minutes passed before they were provided. Ordered soup as a side which was never brought out. When an adjustment was requested for the tab, server apologized but returned for card authorization with soup cost still on bill. Had to request a second time for adjustment.
Perhaps there are staffing issues. ??????

My wife and I prefer local eateries to the chains, but we make an exception for the Maysville Applebees. Great staff. She usually gets the ribs and I go for the Quesadilla. Good stuff.
