A decent place with a nice crowd and friendly people. The staff was welcoming and service was good, which made the visit pleasant. It looks like they’re working on improving things. A good spot to stop by once in a while, especially if you prefer mild flavors(buffet). Overall, a positive experience mainly because of the service and atmosphere.

I remember this little shopping area being super quiet with just one little coffee shop from old town Ellicott city…that was like 12 years ago. My son took me here and we got a booth seat sitting right near the icy little lake with the sun shining into the glass window. So serene. I could see why it felt spiritual to be here. I still felt a good vibe. Lived the waiter, he didn’t bug us and was bout the bizness. Food was fresh and hot and clean check out my pics happy eats y’all

We absolutely love this place. Best time to go is during the buffet. There are way too many good items to try on the menu and during the buffet you can get that full experience. If there was one thing I would love to see added: Papadum! It really sometimes is the one factor I take into consideration when choosing which Indian restaurant to pick when we go. Otherwise Mango Grove beats my other choice.

I used to come here everyday after work.. as a strict Hindu vegetarian it was great. We started coming here for special occasions as a kid because it was strictly vegetarian. Since this place started serving meat, the quality has gone down. Their old location was packed at lunch time. I would see Krishna devotees from all over the East Coast from New York to Florida. I’m writing this review because I heard that it went back to vegetarian and was disappointed to find out that it didn’t. I missed the old days. It was a five-star place…

Atmosphere and Aroma inside the restaurant during weekend Buffet is spot on thanks to some of the very best vegetarian dishes they stir up. The pani-puri is worth arm wrestling for.
The Pindi style chole (chickpea) on the tava (hot plate) is spot on straight out of Delhi. The baigan (eggplant) subzi is delicious. Naan on the table.
The non-veg is a hit or a miss. Chicken tandoori is much better than some of tge other local competitors. Spiced right and moist on the inside.
But hey, as someone said… eat your veggies.
The Chai to end the meal is bliss.
The buffet can get $$$$$ on special days 😉
I would recommend this place.

The Amazing:

Once we walked in the establishment, we were hit with pleasing aroma of delicious food and the manager’s warm and hospitable greeting. We were promptly seated. We decided on the buffet. The restaurant was aesthetically pleasing, it was clean, and the background music created a relaxing atmosphere. The food was exquisite. Everything in the buffet that my wife and I had was delicious. I literally went up and tried almost everything in the buffet and then went back for seconds and thirds of my most favorite food items. After that, we had deliciously made chai tea, which hit the spot after such a satisfying meal, and then we finished it off with this lemon-line pudding, which was equally great. Before we knew it, an hour had passed before we got up and paid the bill. It did not feel like an hour. This felt less like a restaurant experience and more like a satisfyingly great journey of sorts. Everything was on point! The staff was attentive and nice.

The Bad:

Nothing. There was not one thing bad.

Judgment:

This was a flawless experience. I highly recommend this place.

I recently visited Mango Grove Restaurant and found the buffet had a good spread of items that were refilled quickly. The taste was more American Indian, with a mild spice level, and the biryani was missing from the buffet. While the food was decent, the $25 price for the buffet seemed a bit high. However, considering the Indian buffet options in the area, this one is a decent choice.

I have to give a 5. They have a variety of options. My 10 year olds love this place. Their favorite dish is bhatura and masala chai which is also a highlight of the buffet menu. Not many Indian restaurants offer chai as a part of the buffet. Few months ago I had posted about the same restaurant about how disappointed I was about the service. I appreciate that there is tremendous improvement in this area when we visited today. I could see that the staff were very courteous. Special shout out to Mr. Hilary ( who attended our table). He went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I also have to mention that they really value their customers and appreciate feedback inorder to improve.
