An exceptional Japanese dining experience from start to finish.
The quality of the fish is outstanding—fresh, clean, and beautifully balanced. The aji sushi literally melts in your mouth, and the rolls are crafted with so much care and precision.
Watching the chef torch the sushi right in front of you adds a whole new level of artistry—the aroma, the texture, the perfect sear… everything feels intentional and refined. The plating is elegant without being overdone, and the atmosphere feels intimate and authentic, like a true high-end Japanese restaurant should.
You can really tell this place respects the ingredients and the craft.
Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates quality sushi and a memorable dining experience. Will absolutely be back.

We’ve driven by many times so we decided to stop in. It was awesome. Beautiful restaurant and the service was great. Very attentive. The food was Delicious. Crab rangoon and ginger salad were very good. The Bento box dinner was a great size. I was very full. I’d definitely recommend for great sushi in the area. we will be back fir more.

I was very surprised. It’s a very small restaurant and somewhat limited parking space but they make it work. I had a bento box and ordered the snapper. Unfortunately they put tilapia in there instead and they were so busy that I didn’t wanna wait. It happened to another person that was sitting right next to me at the sushi bar and they replaced hers with a different type of fish. That being said everything in the box was delicious. The service was fast. The only thing I would criticize is I was sitting at the sushi bar. There’s a little niche in the sushi bar is where they pretty much pick up everything and people were constantly pulling orders off of the bar to my right and then to my left overhead. it was so good that I will go back and try something different. Pricing is also very reasonable.

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. This place is right across from the hospital, and after waiting nine long months, finally getting the Love Boat for 2 after delivering my baby boy made it even more special.
The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The service and atmosphere were great, and it felt like the perfect way to celebrate such a meaningful moment. We will definitely be back.

I ordered the crunchy spicy tuna roll wrapped in cucumber, and it was absolutely incredible! The cucumber added the perfect refreshing crunch, the tuna was super fresh, and the spice level was just right — flavorful without being overwhelming. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients and take real pride in presentation because every detail was spot-on, from the plating to the texture balance in every bite.
The atmosphere was just as impressive — warm lighting, cozy seating, and a relaxed yet classy vibe that immediately sets the tone. The bar area had a great selection of sake and wines, and the whole space carried that calm, inviting energy that makes you want to stay a little longer. We always love coming here ! The best in Fredericksburg. If you come by i suggest trying the umi shots just so good. I tried the Godzilla roll with my rainbow and dragon roll wow new favorite! Always worth coming here.

The best sushi experience in this area since we moved to the DMV in the summer of 2023. We were highly recommended to go to this place for dinner at Needful Things and went here to check it out. I tried sushi rolls I never tried here: the salmon skin roll and spicy Miami roll. Very delicious food. My husband had shrimp fried rice. We noticed how the vegetables were finely chopped for his entree and the immaculate service. The ambiance was clean and satisfactory. I was able to drink my favorite apple sake here and almost bought a bottle to take home. There were no lines and no wait time when we came here but the place got crowded very fast. Looking forward to come to this sushi place again.
