This visit the service was a little lacking when it came to drink refills for the table, but it was pretty busy for non-peak hours.
We all ordered hibachi and I ordered a side of octopus nigiri. All food was cooked to specification and correct temperature. Everything was seasoned really well. The chef was super personable and made sure we all had a good time. Not pictured was the sushi, as I forgot to take a picture before devouring the two pieces.
If you’re local to the area, make sure you stop in.
Military Discount: Yes
The atmosphere wasn’t great it felt kind of dated and lacked the fun, lively energy you usually get at a good hibachi spot. The tableside performance was there, but it didn’t really add much excitement.
The food, though, was the biggest letdown. Compared to the best hibachi restaurants I’ve been to, I’d rate this a solid 2 out of 10. Everything was pretty flavorless. The vegetables barely seemed grilled they were still crunchy and bland, like they were just quickly tossed on the grill without any seasoning or proper cooking. The fried rice was a major miss too; it had no depth of flavor, tasted greasy and kind of off, and definitely didn’t live up to what hibachi fried rice should be.
The steak itself was what I came for, but even that was underwhelming overcooked in spots, lacking seasoning, and overall just not enjoyable. It kind of ruined the whole meal for me and left a bad taste in my mouth.
If you’re craving quality hibachi with flavorful food and a fun vibe, I’d skip this place and go somewhere else. Definitely not worth a return visit.

Tried Osaka in Beavercreek recently. While the food was mostly good and service was attentive, the prices made it hard to feel like it was fully worth it.
Our server was quick and seemed to genuinely care — we even got a water refill at exactly 4:32, which was a nice touch and showed good timing.
The chicken katsu came out piping hot with a generous portion and plenty of sauce. It was satisfying, but again, a bit expensive for what it was.
The Osaka roll was fresh and overall pretty good, though it did have a slightly fishy taste that threw it off a little.
The seaweed salad had great flavor and was very fresh, but $7 felt too high for such a small portion.
We tried the mochi too — great flavor, but $6 for just two small pieces is a tough sell.
Overall, Osaka offers solid food, fresh ingredients, and quick service, but the pricing doesn’t quite match the value across the board. Not a bad experience, just not one I’d rush to repeat.
Atmosphere: dark, run down, a portion of the back was all blocked off for repair, and when we walked in 3 employees were trying repair a light issue right above the sushi bar. The booth we were seated were all ripped and table with stickiness on it.
Food: extensive menu, mostly standard items for sushi restaurants, we ordered sushi, sashimi, tuna and mango bites which were pretty fresh; soft shell crab had good flavor but a little over fried; yakitori, came out with large chunks and heavy sauced definitely NOT Japanese style and the chicken came out dry; spicy tuna phoenix was ok, nothing too special just spicy tuna wrapped with avocado and the plating was a bit messy; pork gyoza came out with poor presentation and tasted so-so. Maybe my standards are a little different from others, as a foodie who has traveled and tasted many authentic Japanese restaurant. This restaurant is shame to be called a “steak house” nor a good “Japanese restaurant”. I ordered a hot sake, and it came out warm, NOT hot, and deflated, tasted as the alcohol was already half evaporated.
Service: the lady who served us was very pushy, she came over almost every 3-4 min to ask us if we want to order more food after we have just ordered 7 appetizers and not all of them were even came yet. I told her several times, we will see how we feel after these appetizers, but seemed she did not understand that. We had the chopsticks wrappers place on the edge of the table for her to clean up, but till we finished dinning, she never cleaned it.
Overall, we had a very unsatisfactory experience, we checked out without ordering any dinner items, just had to get out of there. Therefore, @WineDinenVacay does NOT recommend this restaurant.
I ordered the Chicken Tempura with fried rice. The total cost before tip was just over $30. The fried rice was so oily as to be practically inedible; I couldn’t bring myself to take more than one bite. The chicken tempura and vegetables were fried with a breading that tasted like funnel cake and was oily enough to make my stomach to feel like it was going to explode after eating less than 1/3 of it.
This might earnestly be the worst price to food-quality ratio I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant.
I will be back!!
