Wasn’t busy when we got there but quickly started getting busy. Food was pretty good except the XL Chili dog. Chili appeared and tasted old and over cooked. And the hot dog was very light colored leading me to believe that it wasn’t beef. The tacos were really good as was the chicken strips and gravy. Service wasn’t bad. And I liked dealing with a human rather than a computer monitor.

It’s 2026 and we’re giving s all year by name when it comes to my reviews. Tonight’s review comes from a place that is most definitely a staple in Texas eateries, Dairy Queen…. I’ve been a huge fan of DQ from my early years in East Texas and I felt the need to stop by and dine in to get off the road for a sec. The level of service received tonight was nothing short of top tier. This crew seemed to work well with eachother and like, Chic fil A, the employees genuinely seemed to want to be at work. Every member that worked gave warm smiles and exceptional service. Managed by Josiah, better known as “Jo-Jo”, the crew working tonight are as follows (in no particular order): Huge thank you to Alexis, Ariana, Aiden, Leah and last but certainly not least, Ashley…. My food was hot, tasted well and everyone sincerely wanted me to enjoy my experience dining in; I appreciate that. My dining experience was completed with a “Thank you; we can’t wait to see you back!” note…. Outstanding…. I close this review with DQ!! That’s what I like about Texas!!!…

I rarely give a fast food place 5 stars, but solely based on this one visit, I was very impressed today. The building looked great as we drove up, no trash in the lot. We walked in and used the restrooms first. They were very clean and smelled inviting. Obviously, they must have recently been cleaned. Not one dirty table in the lobby. The lobby actually looks modern and has multiple TVs showing news, sports, and even Bluey for the kids. The cashier was very nice and polite. We waited maybe 5-8 minutes for our food, but remember, DQ cooks all their food to order. I had a #1 combo, the burger. My wife had the steak finger basket. All the food was fresh and hot and tasted great, including the fries. Her steak fingers were so hot, when she bit into them you could see the steam coming off them. The cashier made his rounds and checked on everyone today. We then got a dipped cone and a blizzard for dessert. Perfectly made and tasted great. I’ve read some really negative reviews about this particular store, and i know fast food can be hit and miss depending on staff, time, and day of the week, but today was the best experience I’ve ever had at a DQ. Great job, Grand Prairie DQ. Keep it up. I’d recommend this DQ.

I recently visited Dairy Queen and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The chicken strips I ordered were coated in old, soggy breading and chicken was incredibly dry. The French fries were also a letdown, as they were served cold and soggy, completely lacking any crispiness. To make matters worse, the fountain drinks were lukewarm and flat, with no ice to be found. While I understand that it’s a fast-food restaurant, the quality of the food should not be this abysmal. Overall, my dining experience at Dairy Queen was incredibly unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal. Management should really look into training staff and checking food quality

Stopped in to grab a late dinner for the family it was a cold rainy night. After getting home to central Arlington we discovered part of our order was incorrect unfortunately. Which is bound to happen from time to time but where they stood out was in service after the fact. We called in spoke to manger on duty Claudia and after just a short explanation. We where reassured out would be made right same night or another night if we didn’t want to get back out. In a time when so many places give you such a hard time and some flat out refuse to fix their mistakes this was a welcome surprise. Claudia was outstanding the next evening for us and we would definitely take our business back.

Ordered online ahead of arrival. Food wasn’t even started when we arrived (about twenty minutes). Took an additional 30 minutes of waiting to get it. And they didn’t give us all of our $80 order. I write this for whomever owns or manages this. Get your house in order. This is not an acceptable way to run your business. Will not return.

There is a sign in the window and a sign on the menu board for the $7 meal deal. I went to the drive and order the $7 and the person on the speaker said “We don’t do the $7 meal anymore” The guy was polite but just ignored me when I said it’s on the menu still. There are literally 2 huge $7 meals signs right now. The food was decent but I paid $12 for what should have been $7.

I was frantic trying to get an ice cream cake at the last minute :/ I went to one DQ but they don’t sell ice cream cakes. I then rushed to the DQ in Grand Prairie and got there 10 minutes after they closed. I drove around to the drive thru and Josiah was an angel sent. He was very pleasant and didn’t hesitate to help me and let me buy my last minute cake. Thank you again, Josiah!
