Outstanding food and service. Menu options are many. This place has such a real down to earth feel. We will be back for sure. I wouldn’t hesitate stopping in for a meal. Plus the chips and salsa are available for purchase as a extra item to go.

Hands down one of the best Mexican Restaurants I’ve had the privilege to eat it. I went to the Orchard Mesa location in Grand Junction visiting friends and family here. Food was absolutely amazing, service was just incredible, friendly and attentive, portions are huge and the prices are fantastic. As a bonus, for the drinks, alcoholic and sodas, they have that same kind of ice that Sonic uses that everyone craves all the time. Great kids menu, really big dessert menu as well. Pictured we have a Pork Carnitas plate, Shrimp Tacos, Chicken Fajita, Cadillac Margarita, Kids Chicken Nugget Meal, Deep Fried Ice Cream(dessert), and Sopapillas(dessert). I’m gonna try the pineapple tamale on my next visit. Definitely advise anyone visiting or who lives in the area to stop by, I’ll definitely be coming back.

Oh my goodness! So delicious and bursting with flavors! I love the location and the staff they always are so kind and attentive. I love the crispy chili relleno crispy and their burrito with the chipotle sauce it the best! I wish the salsa was a little thicker for the chips but that’s just my preference I just want all the flavors it has to offer is all! I have had their pozole before and it was so good great garlic flavor! You have a fan for ever here. The fried ice cream was so huge and the crust was traditional and cinnamonny it was delicious ending to our family dinner.

Ordered sopapillas. Says you get 4 for $6.75 I ordered the order thinking they were big enough to share. You know the normal size of a sopapilla. I got 4 sopapillas the size of a triangle chip. Which was1 bite and maybe 1/2 another bite. And they were so thin 2 of them did not puff up. Terrible!!!!
I should have sent them back. I owned a Mexican restaurant and I would NEVER SERVE sopapillas that size. If they came out small I would add a few extra to make up for the wrong size or comp them. No they won’t be getting my business again. The way I see it isn’t they RIPPED ME OFF.

Our first time in to Aztecas. Easy access right off Hwy 50 just outside of Grand Junction proper. Very clean inside dining areas and restrooms. Booth and table settings and large tables for groups as well. Relaxed atmosphere and some low volume Spanish music in the background. I mention that only because we e been to some places that the music has to be yelled over to have a conversation.
I ordered pork carnitas and she ordered Camarones ala Crema and we took a Carne Asada Burrito, to go for a friend. Portions were really plentiful. Ingredients tasted fresh and well prepared. My Carnitas were tender chunks of pork that were tasty and not just big pieces of fat. Her shrimp and mushrooms were really good, just maybe a bit too much Crème for her. The Carne Asada burrito was big and the meat had a nice char to it, which he expressed he likes. I’ll have to try that next visit.
Trying to recall our servers name, maybe Zel? Anyways, very friendly and attentive. It started picking up quite a bit during our time there. On our arrival it was another table and ourselves. By the time we left I’d say she had seven tables going and things were clicking right along. My review is 4.5 stars. I recommend Aztecas on Hwy 50.

Awesome service and excellent food. I was on fall break and wanted to break from chain restaurants. This place is well worth the stop.

Check your bill. We just ate and my lunch should have been $8.75.
I was charged 10.99 plus 2.00 . Just got a number 1 taco and enchilada.
Really disappointed
