It has a lovely outdoor space as well as some seating inside though I didn’t see anyone actually dining indoors when we were there. Perhaps they reserve that for when the weather doesn’t allow for outdoor seating.
The menu advertised out front is minimal, and there are more menu options on the regular full menu which they give you once you sit down. I wish they were a bit more transparent on the full menu before you sit down.
We thought there were plenty of options to satisfy nearly anyone, and each tried sandwiches for lunch. Mine was a classic croque monsieur and my mom got a chicken sandwich on a crispy baguette. Her’s was a “meal” and also came with a drink and dessert, which we shared and really enjoyed.
The food was good. It really hit the spot, and the outdoor space was lovely, minus a couple smokers who were sitting nearby (yuck).
If you’re visiting Giverny, I recommend this as a nice lunch option!
They have very good bread, delicious pies, and the thing I like the most is their Minute Maid sandwiches.
They are very generous in terms of quantity/ size. It’s truly flavourful, I live their butter, I love the way they cut the ham ( Italian fine slice fashion ) that makes it very juicy )
The quality of the bread and croissant was excellent.
The tea was not served with hot enough water, and I had to ask for milk and sugar. That said the flavor was still good. The orange juice was also good.
Service was acceptable, but not attentive or warm.
They accept credit cards but the minimum purchase amount is €15
The service is mediocre; the waiter forgot the order a couple of times, and nobody seems really interested in the tourist masses.
The food is mediocre for a French lunch. A big piece of bread with almost no camembert, and very soggy fries. And touristic prices €€€€€
The toilet bowl in the bathroom is extremely high for Asian women haha
The croissant was one of the best I’ve had, and the bread was very good too. A very good, probably home made, strawberry jam topped it off.
The tea was the only weak spot.
