Our server was great and the vibes are pretty and romantic. The rolls and crab cakes were amazing. My husband said his steak was good! I got the chicken it was not my favorite. The sides were not great. Sweet potato with marshmallows lacked flavor. The lobster Mac and cheese was not good. The lobster tasted old. For the price honestly I was not impressed sadly! You’re paying for the environment.

This was this best steakhouse I’ve ever been to in my whole life. The filet mignon was amazing. You could cut through with a butter knife. (if you wanted to) It has a crispy outer-layer. It was just perfect. Their fondue was to die for. 10/10 recommend! No wait on Wednesday if you set at the bar in the red room. However, they may be busy next time because boy oh boy was it worth it. The price is pricey but it’s worth it in the end.

This was our first time at Flame and I went in with rather high expectations. The atmosphere (for the most part) and service were great but the food was another story. I ordered the 6oz American Wagyu and it was great, but the thing is… it was great because it was a great cut of meat. It would have also been just as phenomenal at any other restaurant that serves Wagyu. My husband had the KC strip and his was mediocre at best. Our biggest complaint was the sides. Flame treats its sides as an after thought and what was served was frankly verging on inedible. The lyonnaise potatoes were stale and very “salt forward” to put it nicely. Meanwhile, my husbands twice baked potato appeared to have sat under a warmer for quite some time before being served and was hard in several places. It is odd how little they seemed to care as the size of the sides is oddly large for an upscale restaurant. I was also disappointed in plating. Reputation led me to believe Flame was a step above other restaurants in Springfield so I expected presentation to be on par with that. It just came across as lacking any soul or care. There are some restaurants where you can immediately tell “this place loves its food” and unfortunately Flame has lost that.

In town for a family wedding and wanted a quick but special dinner for our 9th wedding anniversary…a google search of best restaurants directed us to Flame and everything was delicious! The crust on my filet was perfect, I loved my Flirtini, the potatoes, the dessert, everything was wonderful. Jace took great care of us, he knew the menu well, we took his suggestions and loved everything. Tonight’s hostess Riley was very sweet and took a beautiful picture of us, too! Hats off to the entire staff, can’t say enough good things! Thank you for a fantastic evening!

We had our first experience at Flame and it was delicious. They had lost the reservation of our party but seated us Red Room downstairs. We are glad we sat downstairs which seemed more intimate and quiet. The steak was cooked to perfection and most of the sides were tasty.

This place is BEYOND words. The food is top notch and the cocktails are amazing. It’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. My husband and I got steaks that were top notch. We got the cheesecake tree and the crème brûlée for dessert, both phenomenal. Abby was our server and she was beyond great. This was our first time in and she was so welcoming. She has an amazing personality and we wanted for nothing. She alone would be worth coming back for!!

I absolutely love Flame Steakhouse. The medallions are the perfect portion, cooked beautifully, and packed with incredible flavor—and the candied bacon on top is truly chef’s kiss. The creamed spinach might honestly be the best I’ve ever had; I’ve tried (and failed) to recreate it at home because it’s just that good. And the chocolate torte? Hands down the best dessert—rich, indulgent, and the perfect way to end the meal.
Beyond the food, the service is absolutely unmatched. Taras is always on the move, making sure every detail is perfect during each visit. Jeremy behind the bar is top-notch and consistently makes the best drinks, and Vitaly is the best waiter—he always remembers me and makes every visit feel personal and effortless. The entire staff is incredibly attentive and somehow manages to anticipate every need, want, or craving before you even ask.
No matter where you sit—upstairs, at the bar, or downstairs in the Red Room—the atmosphere feels upscale and refined. The ambient lighting sets the perfect tone for any occasion, and yes… even the bathroom lighting is flawless for a great selfie. I truly cannot recommend Flame enough.

Without question the best steak I’ve had in my living memory. Perhaps ever. Attentive and friendly service without pretentiousness. A special gem is the closeout wine list. Incredible bargains on excellent wines. The space is old school intimate and charming. A classic steakhouse of the best kind.
