Ordered Birria tacos via DoorDash from this restaurant and it did not disappoint. The food was hot. The tacos were seasoned well. The consume sauce was so flavorful and delicious. I was very impressed. Definitely recommend next. I will go and visit and see how the customer service and atmosphere is.

I’ve never had birria tacos before & I was hoping it would be incredibly flavorful, like the zesty slow-cooked barbacoa I make at home. It’s good, but it tastes most like hot roast beef. There is NO fat within the beef. The street corn was great – fresh off the cob, not canned or frozen corn. Pickup was easy & fast. If you order inside, its setup like Chipotle, where all ingredients are visible & you tell them what you want as they make it in front of you (for takeout, enter on left side of building, door is facing the side street).

I went here to pick up an order and the customer service I received by Ian was superb. I almost thought I was at a well know great customer service establishment known for chic. Anyway this guy was amazing. My food was prepared just as requested. Everything was so good it made me want to run back over for dinner. Just try it. You won’t regret.

I’m giving 4 stars only because they gator the churros so we had to go back then they have us a bit of a hard time saying they needed to see our order even though we had just been there maybe 15 minutes prior. Besides that we got 3 different quesadillas ( carnitas, vegan chorizo, and barbacoa)and they were so good, churros were decent but we have had better, and a tres leches cake which was very yummy but very rich and a little smaller than I hoped it would be for $8.99.

The set up is a bit different with the entrance immediately entering into a food line which I felt a bit anxious about. However the items are labeled and workers are understanding of what’s available and offered.
I had a Burrito with Vegan Chorizo, Elotes off the Cob, and a Horchata with a Queso Fundido to go. Everything I would get again, though the queso fundido did taste like the thickening agent did not incorporate well this time. Air quality was good <1000, with not a lot of people dining in.

For me this has been one of those places I’ve heard about but never went to yet for whatever reason. It’s good stuff. Like a Chipotle / Moes but better. Enter on the left side of the building. Order in the line, get your food at the end. There are tables inside and outside. They had beer as well as other drinks. Parking is easy right out front. Very busy. Nothing fancy (in a good way)! Clean bathroom. Go check it out!

I do not typically visit Lakewood, so I was looking for a place to meet some friends Cilantro Taqueria turned up in my search. I did not know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I got a couple of tacos and a bowl. I would definitely go back.

Food was okay. Could have used some more seasoning. The bell peppers in my fajitas were massive and I had to take them out to cut them into eatable pieces. The meat seemed frozen and not fresh, they were cut so small. The overall portion size was small and that was disappointing for the amount that I paid for it. The queso was good.
