On our way back to Iowa from KC MO and I was craving pizza, real fresh crust pizza! Hands down the best pizza I’ve had!

A slightly upscale pizzeria. The decor is underwhelming but the staff is friendly and accommodating. I grade a pizza by its crust and I can give a mixed review here. The outside crust was excellent but the center was soggy. If you are a fan of the thin, crispy, Italian style crust, try the Pane appetizer

This is incredibly good pizza. Perhaps the best I’ve ever had. We ordered a large salad to share (it was fresh and delicious) and the Margheritta pie with red sauce and Buffalo mozzarella cheese with added Kalamata olives. The crust was light with a delicate blend of flavors. The sauce was sweet and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive. Truly a St. Joe treasure. We’ll be back.
I have one suggestion only. The restaurant would benefit from a brightly lit sign outside (neon?). It’s easy to miss this place in the dark.

This is our second time here in as many years (we don’t make it to St Joe very often) and both times it’s been amazing. Great pizza, good beers, cool place, and friendly staff! Highly recommend the Siciliano with spicy honey for dipping your crust, the mela alla canella with goat cheese for dessert, and the Big Muddy Rootbeer was excellent!

This place is always a delight. The service is great, and the woodfired pizza is excellent. They also have a nicely curated beer and wine selection. The patio seating out back is wonderful, especially on an evening with perfect weather.

The quality coming out of this one if a kind kiln oven is way above the pack of pizza resturants. We love the old building feel and old world taste. Highly recommended!

The staff were so friendly and responsive. The pizza and bruschetta that was ordered was delicious. The crust crisp but tender, perfect thickness, and the toppings were generous but not over done. You can tell they use quality ingredients, they shine in every bite. This should be everyone in the areas go to spot for amazing pizza!

I’ve been a fan and supporter of this place since it opened. It had been over a year since we visited due to dealing with cancer in the family.

Sadly the place has really gone downhill and especially the cook! I paid $82 for a basically inedible lunch to day.

Our first visit was dine in. Waitress was super nice and attentive. Place was busy so we waited a while for food. No biggie. Then the cook finished cooking the pies and they were pretty burnt. Then the guy dumps bleach everywhere. The smell was super strong and we had to ask for boxes to go. The waitress mentioned the smell because a lot of customers were making faces and the cook snapped at her.

Most recently, I ordered take out. The first time I called a woman answered she was very nice and helpful answering my questions. My family was changing there minds so I let her know I would call back. I called back and a guy answered. He was very brusque but I put my order in for a salad, 3 pies, and a dessert pizza. I got to the store and the woman who was waiting on tables let me know she was having him remake a pie because “she messed it up when she cut it”. When she said that the guy shot her a dirty look. You could just tell he didn’t feel like he had to redo the pizza. The pizza she “cut wrong” is the picture where the middle is burnt to oblivion by the way! It’s clear the cook burnt it. Well when he remade my pizza he barely put any apples or honey on it. It was incredibly bland and he burnt that one too! I watched him cook it and he sticks the pizza way in the back and left there. Then grabbed a piece of wood and used the same pie holder he used in my dessert pie to put another piece of wood in. Then he immediately grabbed the pie with the same holder that just held dirty wood! Gross! I don’t even know why he added more wood. The oven was full of coals all they way to the top. I use to watch the pies be made and the wood was maybe 1/4th the height he had it. Then he holds the pie with the holder in one spot. No rotating or anything but he’s holding it up off the bottom so the crust got really black. The he throws it in the box. I’m not happy with the pie but I can also tell if I ask him to make it again he’d argue and probably do a worse job. So I tip the waitress who brought me a drink while I waited and I thanked the cook politely. He just gave me a withering look and didn’t say anything. I got home and all the pies were pretty well burnt. I included a picture of one of them too. None as bad as the one the waitress had him remake (hole in the middle) but all bad enough that people were tearing portions of the pie off and no one ate the crust if any piece. Waste of $82.

It’s really a shame. I remember literally ordering a balsamic vinegar and olive oil side to dip the crust in it was so good.
