Tameside is blessed with several outstanding Indian restaurants, but Amaani is one of the best.
The restaurant is spotless and nicely laid out. The staff are polite and attentive. And the food is outstanding.
My particular favourite is Chicken Achari, which is a fruity dish which has whole chillies in it. So you can choose your heat level by eating as few or as many of the chillies as you like.

We dined here between christmas and new year, 15 diners for a family get together.
First time for us all and certainly won’t be our last.
We had 3 children in our group, the rest adults. We all loved the food, it was 2nd to non.
All the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable of their menu, as a coeliac sufferer it was a relief to be able to order from your extensive menu knowing my dietary needs would not be compromised.
Lovely restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, stylish decor.
We will definitely be returning.

Visited over the weekend with my partner and two young children. I’d booked a table around a hour or so before for 17:30, when we arrived the table wasn’t ready but we were quickly sat down. Sadly I felt like we were really rushed. After getting our kids sorted and going to the toilet we were asked for our full order with drinks. Starters came out before pomadoms were taken away and then they were quick to take starter away. Then left us waiting 20 minutes with no main? Make that make sense. Some of the staff were lovely but it just felt like they wanted us in and out and didn’t go above and beyond like other Indian restaurants we have been to with our children. This would prevent us from going back because it didn’t feel relaxed. Don’t take on so many bookings if you feel like you need to rush them on. It costs a lot of money for us to come out as a family and it felt wasted.

Sometimes it is hit and miss (more hits than misses) but I went with my cousin and a few elderly relatives for my birthday on Sunday. The service was amazing ESPECIALLY because my elderly relatives are VERY awkward.
We ordered a few different dishes and it all tasted very good, there wasn’t a single complaint about any of it.
I’m contemplating having my mum’s 70th in there in September and that will be very difficult and the elders will be awkward as always but I’m sure if anyone can handle it, it’s these guys.
If there is one gripe we had a comment by some horrible customers outside just before we entered but that’s not the restaurant’s fault. I suppose anywhere can attract simpletons. The good thing was that it didn’t ruin the night as the food and the service was top notch!
Oh and they accidentally overcharged us and we didn’t realise but they came out in the car park to get us to give us the difference back!

Our first time at Amaani having been recommended to try it. We were very pleased that we did. The staff were excellent, polite and attentive but not pushy. The food was as described so you did not receive an unexpectedly over or under spicy dish and the choice was extensive. The surroundings are spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. Best of all the price was lower than we expected. We do not live near Oldham ( about 250 miles away ) but we visit quite often and will return.
