This was my first time going to Oh My Soul. I’ve heard a lot about it, and have been wanting to check it out. First off, the place is adorable. Very well decorated, with a wonderful patio. It was very easy to just park my bicycle in the back and go right in and order. The food came out very quickly, and was, honestly, really really good. However, when I made my order, as soon as the Tip screen appeared on the tablet, the cashier spun the tablet around and chose their own tip. It was honestly shocking. I didn’t say anything, because what would it have gotten me, but this is the sole reason that I won’t be going back. What’s crazy is, they added a 20% tip. Which was exactly what I would have done, had they not taken that choice away from me. So, if your’e in North Davidson, and you want a very very tasty and healthy vegan meal, and don’t mind being completely disrespected by the staff, it’s a great place to go. For me, I’ll take my business elsewhere. ** Edit ** Owner is correct, it was 15%. I misread the original price. I still consider it a horrible policy. I can understand automatically adding a tip for large groups, but a single person on a single entry, it’s a level of disrespect to automatically add a tip. If you’re removing the option of leaving a tip and forcing it, just get rid of tips and increase your prices 15%. Again, food great, ambiance great, policies stink.

HIGHLY recommend. Delicious food, GF options, friendly staff, clean, the kindest owners.
My partner and I come here all of the time and have been here almost every Friday for the past month or so for their Nachos special. Their nachos are hands down the best nachos I’ve had—we get them GF, spicy with voire ‘sausage’. We share the nachos bc it’s huge then get other dishes—love the rainbow wrap (refreshing), their pressed juices (soursop is my fav), crunchy mom (my partner calls it a vegan Crunchwrap supreme), loaded fries (good amount of seasoning and full of flavor), and their seasonal drinks. Can’t wait to eat in the back patio when the weather gets warmer— bar opens up, live music, and trivia. I’ve brought a couple of my meat eating friends and family here, and they absolutely love it too and have come back! Love this place!

Oh My Soul has really tempting and satisfying vegan food. The Elote Ribs are so good that we ordered a second plate of them! When the weather was warmer we sat outside and had the Aikona Waffle with crispy cauliflower, a Hip-Hop Chick and a Pink Skies Shake. I really hope they bring back the peach milkshake-it was really refreshing in the summer!

Progressive establishment minus the flesh for sale. The menu is extensive and options are aplenty. You got baked goods, smoothies, juices, salads, sandwiches, and comfort food for almost anyone. There are little to no substitutions or alternatives for menu items as written. The prices range from $14-21 for an entree and most are pretty big so bring an appetite. The dining room is small and located in the back. Bigger parties would need a reservation for sure.

Try this place- you will not be disappointed. Anyone can and will enjoy this restaurant. This was a truly superb experience. The owner is personable, kind, and passionate. He made some great suggestions which served vegan and non-vegan alike. We ordered the nachos, wings, and elote corn ribs. The corn ribs were the star for me. Their homemade desserts are also so good. The ambiance is specular. I wish I was a local as I’d definitely be a regular.

The Mother Earth bowl just keeps surprises me with each layer I eat through. Is that air fry chicken peas? Hummus, generous avocado, cauliflower, sweet potatoes, falafel, Brussel sprouts, all with cold and hot ingredients make this my new favorite dish here. I’m sure I missed an ingredient. You’ll love it.

So I hate to give a low rating to a vegan restaurant because there are so few of them in Charlotte. Visited on a Wednesday night, was not busy. I ordered pick up and first mistake was waiting for a text or notification on the tracking page that it was ready. Never came. Finally just went in and it was ready. No one was at the front at first then a man came out and gave me the order. The kale salad I was so looking forward to had a horrible sour tasting sauce on it. The salad was over saturated with the sauce and tasted like salt. My burger was ok but soggy and didn’t have much flavor. I had the Waka Waka. My husband, who I am trying to get to eat more real food hated the salad and said his burger was so so. Maybe I came on an off night. Not sure if I would go back.

First time in North Carolina and was delighted to see such a well-established vegan restaurant with incredible food and an amazing atmosphere. I love the thought that goes into all the artwork and messaging about the beauty of veganism. I hope the South continues to add more places like this.

Pros: I’ve traveled extensively around the world and USA and this is one of the best and most unique vegan restaurants I’ve been to. The decor is very cool and the food is excellent.
Cons: Overall was a bit salty for my personal palate. Mac and cheese balls could have been a bit “cheesier” flavor. The restaurant appeared to apply an automatic service charge to the order but then also asked for a tip. If you’re not paying attention you may end up paying two tips. The service charge is not visible on the final total screen. I’m sure this is probably an oversight and not intentionally being dishonest. The restaurant will probably address this if it hasn’t already.
Vegan or non vegans should definitely try this restaurant!
