This is a more upscale spot on a side street by the square. There is parking on site and on the road. Waitress was very nice and the menu was quite comprehensive. They have various ceviches, highly recommend though it is a small portion. We tried the spicy snapper and a tilapia. Both were excellent and enormous portions! Well worth the few extra dollars. Excellent meal and presentation. I tried a smoothie (Pura Verde, I think?) It was fantastic! Best smoothie I’ve tried so far in la Fortuna. If you’re looking for various seafood dishes, this is the place to try! They also had good tunes on 🙂

I don’t even like seafood and I thought this place was great. I got chicken tacos and they were wonderful! The portions were great, the service was fast, and the vibes are good.
My fiance got a whole fried tilapia and he loved it!

Hands down one of my favorite dining experiences. The food and drinks here are exceptional—easily some of the best I’ve tasted. The quality is so high that we ended up coming back every single day of our trip.Beyond the delicious food, the value is incredible. The prices are very reasonable for what you get, and the staff makes you feel right at home. It’s rare to find a place this good that is also wallet-friendly. Don’t think twice about eating here.

The best meal in CR hands down! The food was out of this world. Our server was attentive and kind. We ordered the deep fried snapper fish with jumbo shrimp, garlic muscles and fried calamari. It comes with a side of plain rice, fresh garden salad, mashed potatoes and steamed veges. Try their fried yuca it’s so soft and crispy on the outside. It was so good we finished it all. Everything came out quickly. I will definitely go back here

We went back two nights in a row!! The fried snapper was well seasoned and fried perfectly. We also love the mixed vegetables. The service was incredible, they went above and beyond to make my mom’s birthday special!

Honestly loved this restaurant. We were celebrating my birthday and the staff was very attentive and friendly. I got the snapper (huge btw) and the drinks were great! They had reggae playing all night which I loved. I would honestly go back there again, can’t recommend this place enough!

My partner and I visited Snapper House on our trip to Costa Rica and it was hands down some of the best food we had on this trip. The tuna ceviche is must try and the snapper dishes as well. Our server Stewart was so police and provided excellent service . We will definitely return here.

Great service, friendly staff, nice atmosphere! I had shrimp tacos, and dad had fish tacos (they come with 3 each). They were very good. Mom had the shrimp quesadilla, salad, and fries. It was probably big enough to share and also very good. Everything tasted great and fresh with all the veggie toppings.

OUTSTANDING!!! Recommended by our airbnb host for seafood. It was the perfect date night such a romantic spot, great background music. Service was very good , food came out so fast. We shared the mixed seafood ceviche 10/10 and also shared the sea bass with shrimp also 10/10 . Highly recommend
