I visited this location twice recently — once around 8 PM and another time about five minutes before closing. Both visits were below expectations.
The staff were courteous, but service felt unorganized. During the first visit, the fries were lukewarm, and the burger lacked freshness. On the second visit, several items, including fries and some sodas, were unavailable even though the restaurant was still open. In general, the fries here are rarely served hot, which makes the food less enjoyable.
The place itself feels old and not well-maintained. The dining area and tables could use a deep cleaning and some updates, as everything looks tired and worn. While the staff seemed well-intentioned, the overall atmosphere and service did not reflect a professional standard.

Always get orders wrong. Make you wait in curbside when drive thru is faster. Horrible management. Don’t even think trying to come for lunch at work, you’ll spend your entire break waiting and it won’t even be correct.

Absolutely awful locations. Employees were very disrespectful and showed no courtesy whatsoever. Spent over $70 on multiple meals and they forgot sauce for all 4 boxes and the bag of food. The food was cold and tasteless. I waited on line for over 30 minutes, they took a car every 10 minutes. Never coming back here again, avoid at all costs!

to whoever served me at around 4PM on october 16th at the register, you’re amazing. this was the first mcdonald’s where i couldn’t order off a kiosk so i was a bit frazzled when ordering but you were so patient and polite to me. i felt treated with a lot of respect. you deserve a raise!

If I could give no stars I would. I’ve ordered from here literally 7 times and have never gotten my food. I just roll up and they say they’re closed. Every time. The staff is so rude. Everyone here is an awful human being. I diet around this time of year for work and I was going to make tonight my last night before I started. So much for that. Thanks McDonald’s. You crushed it for a 7th time. ✌

Poor service, poor food quality, and not an especially clean store.

The crew member was unintelligible and unfriendly. She let breakfast get cold on counter while waiting for hash browns to cook (at 7:07AM). Did not ask and bagged it, wasting packaging. Store is not super clean and in disrepair.

I would not return to this store. Very disappointing from a shareholder’s perspective.

This McDonald’s at 37-01 Broadway in Fair Lawn, is the one McDonald’s that introduced me to the franchise way back in the early 1960s. Of course the building has changed quite a bit from the original. Back then, there was no eating inside; there was no place to do it. You walked up to the window in front, ordered, paid for it, and ate either in your car, as most people did back then, on one of the two side benches attached to the building, or on a nearby curb. There is inside, a collage of the various exostructures of this McDonald’s, from the 50s, and through many of its remodels as it morphed into what it is now. Today, this McDonald’s is sadly a mere shadow of what it once was. Making my first appearance in this building in about ten years, my first step was into the remnant of a liquid spill that was so sticky, it had already crusted over, indicating the floor had not been mopped in almost two hours at least. The counters and tables were mostly not in that good shape maintenance wise either. The big problem I had was that while on the menu board, the prices for combos were listed, the prices for individual sandwiches that were featured on combos, that is, Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, Fish, and a few others, were not. I like to know what I am going to pay before it gets rung up. All in all, for all the nostalgia that I have for this place, this is now one very bad look. Fair Lawn McDonald’s, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!

First, fyi that there is only 1 very narrow driveway for the whole location, drive thru or not.

Stopped by with family to get a late breakfast. Every other McD would oblige my late breakfast request, but not here. Not while Zatavia is in charge. I asked again but she flatly stated there was no breakfast after 11am. It was 12:05 so she had the right but really, EVERY other McDonald’s has obliged me, even as late as 12:30. Furthermore, after my order, I realized I forgot to scan my App. When I asked manager about it, she coldly said there was nothing she could do. Now I’ve made this mistake before at other locations where the managers were kind enough to redo the order to help me. Not while Zatavia is in charge. Strike 1.

I was trying to use the McD App. It showed there was breakfast in the Deals menu. “Breakfast is only till 11”. I also saw hash browns and asked if that was available. That was Ok. Great! So I added to the app and tried to pay. Ambivalent cashier girl said $2.49 or such. I showed her the app that said $1, but she curtly said it doesn’t work after breakfast time. @McDonald’s, you need to work on your App that’s making me look bad! Strike 2.

Asked cashier for a cup of hot water. She looked dumbfounded then turned her head to Zatavia. This manager said she would have to charge me. “How much?” “A dollar.” “Ok then can you make it a big cup?” “That would be $1.69.” At this point, I realize they are trying to upset me. So I just decide to let it go and asked for the SMALL cup of hot water for $1.00. Rings me up and it’s $1.07 with tax. Strike 3!

This is why I like Starbucks. Their customer service is always so much better!

I won’t be surprised if this McD location disappears or with these types of operators, if all of McDonalds went BANKRUPT!

I got indigestion from the soggy fries and skinny chicken sandwich they sold me for almost five dollars. Strike 4, I’M OUT!!
