Dubuque – on Central downtown, not a big place, pretty cool decorations. On a Saturday near noon it was full.

It boasts an Iowa top 10 hamburger; there is a huge selection burger combos (options to go on your burger). Burger is served on pretzel bun, burgers are 1/3 pound patties.

California burger was pretty good, know going in there’s an up charge for anything besides “ruffles type” bagged chips. Burger was a bit under done but it was quality beef.

That said we got a loaded French fries to split and they were great (white cheddar and mozzarella, bacon) I recommend them.

Carol had a club wrap it was massive! Soda is spendy $4.

This is a go to burger place in Iowa. The burgers are cooked perfectly and very juicy. Ingredients are top notch. We tried the regular fries and the sweet potato fries and they really hit the spot. Lots of flavor in every bite. Portions here are very generous. We ordered the Tony’s Philly and the Donna K. Both came out looking amazing. Such a wide variety of burgers, you are sure to find something new every time. Atmosphere is so interesting, something new to look at on every wall. Our server was outstanding.

I’ve been here twice now, the first time I tried the inferno and it was VERY HOT but the burger itself was delicious. The second time I had tried Westons Westerns burger and it was SO GOOD.

Enjoyed multiple breakfast items with our party of 9. Staff held table for us after we called in. The pancakes and big boy should be shared due to size. Breakfast 7 to 11 and lunch 11 to 3. Great staff.

We had a good experience at the Foodie Garage! The people were very kind and the atmosphere was cool. We both got burgers they were cooked exactly like we asked them and were both delicious. Only complaint about the whole experience was the menu wasn’t very clear about how the burgers are served in regards to the bread. They came on pretzel buns and some of the sandwiches looked like they were served with Texas toast. Which are great unless you’re not expecting them. Their fries also have lots of seasoning including cheese which is also not mentioned on the menu.

Foodie Garage is exactly the kind of discovery travelers hope for when visiting a new city—welcoming, confident in its concept, and consistently well executed. We stopped in for lunch while visiting Dubuque, following a ceremony and needing a restaurant that could comfortably accommodate a larger party. From the moment we arrived, it was clear we had chosen well.
The staff handled our group with ease, seating us promptly at a table that suited our needs and doing so with genuine warmth and flexibility. That spirit of hospitality carried through the entire meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and clearly invested in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience.
The menu itself is a standout. Foodie Garage boasts one of the most expansive burger selections you’re likely to encounter anywhere—an impressive range that feels thoughtfully curated rather than overwhelming. Simply put, if you can’t find a burger here that appeals to you, the problem likely isn’t the menu. That said, several of us opted for wraps, and each was excellent: fresh, well-balanced, and generously portioned, making them ideal for a midday meal.
The ambiance complements the concept perfectly—casual, lively, and comfortable, with an energy that suits both locals and visitors alike. It’s the kind of place that invites you to linger just a bit longer, whether you’re fueling up for the rest of the day or easing into a relaxed afternoon.
Foodie Garage earns a strong recommendation as a lunch destination in Dubuque and, given the quality on display, is almost certainly worth a return visit for breakfast as well. It’s a restaurant that knows what it is, executes it well, and leaves guests happy they stopped in.

I will start off by saying that the staff was very friendly, attentive and kind. There are tons of burger choices, that is the best thing on the menu. Prices are kind of steep considering the quality, the cheese curds, & fries tasted like when you thaw something out and then freeze it again. The burger however was fresh. The price definitely doesn’t reflect the quality of the food, would not return again.

I had the Western burger with BBQ and onion rings on it. Very good, though a bit messy with all that BBQ sauce. If I had to complain about anything, the bacon could have been cooked better(actually been crispy).

I will definitely be back to try more of your great food. Would recommend anyone to stop for a good burger.

My husband and I came in because I wanted to try their burgers. I got the beefcake burger and he got the hopping Cajun. Both burgers were cooked how we liked them and they also had good flavor! I loved the sweet potato fries, they came with a dusting of brown sugar/cinnamon. Our Waitress was very attentive and super nice! I forgot her name, but we’ll be back!
