We had a good time for my niece’s post graduation brunch. When we got there for brunch there was a saxophonist playing which was nice. The drinks need help as I didn’t like the amaretto sour or margarita but everyones food was okay. The ones who ordered the Red Snapper got the rave reviews since we were tasting each other’s dishes. The snapper was big and flavorful. I will definitely return again for the snapper. The space is clean and has a chill environment with an outdoor patio. The employees were pretty nice as well. My grandmother even asked, “When are we going back,” because she enjoyed herself. Lolol

The guac had too much onion, so it over-
powered the dish. The tacos needed some spices for flavor… the steak taco had no taste at all. I’ll try the place again and get something else to see if it’s better than the basic tacos I had.

I had an excellent experience last evening at Glenwood Oaks Rib & Chop House. I attended a private party there. I was familiar with the quality of the food, but not the other amenities. First of all, there is plenty of free parking on their private lot, with handicap accessible spaces right at the door. The staff was genuine, friendly, and concerned about meeting the needs of their client. They were attentive to every table and guest. The space provided was ample, the tables were set appropriately, the decor was nice and went with the party theme, Harlem Nights. I can not suggest a single thing that they needed to improve upon. I highly recommend this place to host your private event.

Excellent atmosphere (retirement party)!! Plenty of seating to hold this special event. The food was very good (buffet style) and the drinks were well made (Old Fashioneds). The music kept the party going and we also enjoyed the outside seating.

They are also open daily but check the website for specials.

I can honestly say that I have never had a one star experience until now. If it wasn’t for my joy of marrying the love of my life I would say that my wedding was COMPLETELY ruined. To summarized, contracts mean NOTHING to this place, they write one thing in the contract then say it was messed up and try to charge almost double. They then will mess up the food ordered, for example, giving MEAT TO VEGETARIANS after I have stressed time and time again that I had a table of vegetarians (AND LABELED IT). They also gave me a place to put on my wedding dress to which someone come in told me I could have found somewhere else to get ready ( after I was told the area was going to be completely blocked off for me and my bridesmaids only). They called my mother the night before to tell her that they couldn’t do anything they promised to do originally. The list honestly goes on and on. Only reason I didn’t CANCEL is because they waited until THE END OF JUNE (my wedding is the beginning of August) after everyone RSVPED to tell me that my contract was messed up and they wanted the charge me double the price. Only thing that saved my wedding was my mom’s decorating skills, because THEY DO NOTHING FOR YOU. You have to move tables, clean up the tables, buy napkins at $4 a piece, buy table clothes and chair covers separate, etc. I will say that there was one woman there that took her job seriously and did the best she could but it doesn’t matter if everyone else is not even trying to do their jobs. Not to mention THEY WOULD NOT TURN ON THE AC no matter how many times we asked, all my guest were sweating. I have had events here before and after the owner changed everything just went downhill honestly. They cut the space I had in half to “compensate” for the extra money I would not pay for the contract they messed up. I don’t think I would recommend this place to anyone, as a restaurant they are fine but as a venue they are completely dishonest, disrespectful, and lazy.

This was our first time here, and we were not disappointed. We went for lunch on a Tuesday at 1:00 pm, so it was not crowded. The staff was friendly, courteous, and very attentive. They were offering a buffet for $18 each, but we opted for menu items. We both started off with garden salads, then I had a 14 oz ribeye cooked medium well with veggies, baked potato, and a side order of fried shrimp. She had a porterhouse cooked medium with veggies and a baked sweet potato. Both steaks were juicy and very tender. We also had a lemon drop martini for her and a long island ice tea for me. The atmosphere, service, and food was great. The place was clean, including the restroom. We will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place.

Now that I’ve had a moment to sit and approach this as respectfully and tactfully as possible, here goes…I had my mothers 60th birthday party here on 6/17/2023. I have been planning this for the better of 6 months or more. My primary and first point of contact was Luis. We went through everything from seating, decorating, the menu etc and I paid the deposit and party planning ensued. As the months went on & I came in to make payments, have my decorator come in to get a layout of the floor plan etc, Luis suddenly stopped answering all correspondence with me. There were times I called the restaurant with questions and concerns and couldn’t get in touch with anyone to the point where I just drove up to the restaurant to discuss or make a payment on my moms party. They also hadn’t seen or heard from Luis. Fast forward to the final week before my moms party & I’m told “oh Luis said you may be needing linen”. I absolutely need linen & I was told at that point that linen is $4 per chair and $11 per cloth! I had a party of 50! This sudden last minute of a large cost was shattering to me! I expressed to them that my decorator provides linen and I can have her bring it. They told me “oh no, the owner doesn’t allow the customer to bring in their own”. Then I was told in that same conversation that if I wanted the cake cut, it would be a $150 fee. They literally charged me $150 to cut a cake that actually served less than 50 people. Last issue was the issue of time. The party was from 6-9pm and I was notified that if all parties were not removed by 9:10, I would be charged an additional $200-250. I inquired about whether grace was given to allow my decorator to take down decorations. They told me no. So, I basically had to have my decorator come towards the end of the party where I still had guest there to begin taking down decorations as I couldn’t afford any additional fees. As far as service, the waitresses and waiters were amazing and Amanda and Erin were great with stepping in where Luis went rogue. The food was ok. The catfish was fried way to hard to enjoy and I couldn’t even take leftover food with me that I paid a great deal for. My mother was happy but the sudden fees, nickel and dimeing, point person missing and this fear of not wanting me to speak with the owner made for a very rough road dealing with this place. I am a fair person but to not even provide me some sort of leeway or incentives on things especially given the point person I was initially dealing with completely disappeared on me is unacceptable.
