This was a great place to bring our son for his 14th birthday. Desiree was very kind, informative, and attentive even though we sat outside. She could have easily overlooked us, but did a nice job. The menu is easy to understand and maneuver. We started with the bao bun steak tacos and they were so good we had to order another set before leaving. We also got the dragon brussel sprouts to start and that candied pear sauce was to die for. My husband got the spicy warrior ramen which had a really good kick. I got the tankotsu miso ramen with kimchi added; loved the naruto maki! Overall, a fantastic experience for a little family looking to expand their palette with some awesome anime-looking food!

Cook Fernando did an amazing job! the food was delicious. We’ve been to different locations over time, and the food has been hit or miss, but yesterday it was excellent. We even asked for the cook’s name so we could give him credit for his great work.

Bit of an odd, small, and warm location BUT the quality and taste of the food is undeniable. Love the decor inside. The Spicy Warrior and Japanese tacos are my go to! Always consistent and delicious. Servers are attentive. Best to have cash because of the card fee with their system.

The food here is delicious. It met my expectations. I wish they had more appetizers. The waiters are very helpful with knowing the menu. The decor does need a little help and a lot more lighting. I could have done without the heavy metal playing in the background, not that I am against it but it would be better in the evening and not during lunch. I think they are barely starting and I will definitely be going back.

Our server Yessica was really sweet and attentive. She explained the menu and showed us how to find what we’d like. I was really excited to try this place out as I’m a huge fan of bao buns. We ordered the Pork Belly Bao Buns and I’d give it a 9/10. The sauce was a bit on the bitter side, but otherwise very soft bun and perfect pork belly. For our entrees we ordered the Tonkotsu Miso and the Japanese Tacos. This is where issue rise. The noodles were undercooked slightly. It was evident that was what the order was waiting on as the soup was lukewarm and the Pork Belly wasn’t even hot (even with its appearance of being charred with a torch). Felt a bit silly blowing on it for the first bite when it wasn’t even hot anymore. As for the Japanese tacos, they did feel fresh however the fried wonton ‘tortillas’ were incredibly oily and greasy. It made what was supposed to be a fresh and light plate, very heavy and greasy. With its price at $5, I would still steer away from them. Earning a 4/10. The restaurants environment was also a bit awkward and the seating was horrendous for back support making you want to leave faster. Giving the restaurant an overall honest rating of 6/10 with the best part being the server.

My first time ever and I truly enjoyed all I ordered, I ordered the bao buns and the Tonkotsu everything was delicious. I liked the small and dark setting and the customer service was great.

Will definitely be coming back again to try the spicy warrior next time.

Home made noodles and serious eats. I had the spicy warrior and added Kimchi. So good!!! The right amount of heat that builds as you eat the ramen bowl!!! So good!

Finally, I found a place in the RGV with decent ramen . I thoroughly enjoyed my Tonkatsu Bowl, and even the Pork Belly Bao Buns were great . Service was quick and perfect. The only issue is the way they cut the green onion. Those long diagonal strands feel like I have blades of grass in my Ramen.

Edit: I tried this place again after over a year. I’ve noticed this place has changed venues thrice (each location smaller than the last). This can only mean they aren’t making enough of a profit to pay their rent . We were greeted seated right away cuz the place was empty. Our waitress told us the menu is online only, which is fine, but instead of having a QR Code on the table we were presented with a little piece of paper with the website we had to use (that felt a bit like amateur hour ngl). My Tonkatsu bowl was good but not mind-blowing. I think this place would benefit from new management .
