We were happy with our decision to eat here. We arrived about 2:00-2:30 p.m. so it wasn’t busy with 3-4 tables occupied. We were fortunate to have the back room to ourselves for a leisurely visit with our out-of-state guests. Good service. The best dish ordered was the fried chicken sandwich with avocado. Avocado costs extra. The two waffle dishes, one with chicken and one with bacon, had soft waffles while we prefer ours crunchy. Good amount of meat with both. The spicy syrup was a nice addition as it wasn’t too spicy. Pleasant atmosphere surrounded by artwork.

We stopped by early Saturday morning and did not have to wait for a table. The portion sizes were huge! It was our first time trying a “utah scone” – did not disappoint. The omelet was a little dry but the huge scoop of avocado made up for it. Service was great too!

Mirror Lake Diner is a must-stop eatery if you find yourself in Kamas. Everything I’ve eaten has been amazing. I particularly recommend the chicken fried steak. You’ll also enjoy the mustard crusted chicken or the salmon. I wasn’t a big fan of the pesto pasta with chicken, but my wife enjoyed it. The apple crisp is pretty dang good (and shareable) if you need dessert.
The service is phenomenal. From the moment you enter, you’re taken care of, and the customer-focus is apparent.
I love the atmosphere. It’s the epitome of a cozy small-town diner. The only negative is that parking can be a bit tricky depending on the time of day, so be prepared to park on the street if the lot is full. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend you stop by.

Great little local diner
Service was quick and the food was good. Prices weren’t that bad too!
We had french toast, a utah scone and biscuits and gravy.
Their hot chocolate is great, rich and a good size.
If you get the Utah Scone, make sure you add honey! It was okay with just the cinnamon butter, but fantastic with the honey!

Genuinely one of the best burgers I’ve had in years. My wife had the high noon and soup (butternut squash) – both very good in their own right. Super friendly atmosphere. Lots of nature pics on the walls for the wandering eye.

We make the drive from Roosevelt once a week to visit the Mirror Lake Diner, and it’s always worth it! The food is phenomenal, and the service is top-notch, especially when owner Gabe is on the floor. He’s always ensuring everything runs smoothly and the quality is top-tier. My wife Heather and I have tried several dishes, and we’ve never been disappointed. Highly recommend making the trip – you won’t be sorry!

This was our first year attending the Thanksgiving Day Dinner at Mirror Lake Diner. The food was delicious…and abundant. First course of Butternut Squash Soup was being praised by many other patrons while we were there – you gotta try it. The service is always good – as the servers, bussers/host/hostess and owner(!) are available to assist in any way. We hope Mirror Lake Diner continues with their 10+ year tradition of providing this gift to the community. We will be back for their next holiday event. Thank you so much

The Mirror Lake diner is a nice little restaurant. It’s on main street and has some great seating that you can enjoy looking out the window. We enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak with hash browns. They added sausage and bacon to the gravy which was an interesting combination. Next time I’m there I’ll do an English muffin instead of a scone.

I recently visited Mirror Lake Restaurant. While the prices are definitely affordable, I think there’s room for improvement in terms of food quality and service. I ordered over-medium eggs but received them over-easy instead. The food was a bit greasy and unfortunately arrived cold.
Service-wise, it took quite a while to be attended, and I only saw my server about three times during the whole meal. It might help to have more staff available, especially during busy hours.
Overall, I appreciate the atmosphere and the accessible pricing, but I do hope they consider making some improvements in food preparation and customer service.
