A nice dinner restaraunt. The food was a little cool, I had to ask twice for my toast and when it came it was cold and hard. Condiments not always on table have to go hunting for them even when asked for them.

Absolutely amazing . The menu is super big so the whole family can come and eat, even your uncle Jeff. The workers are very friendly and staff put a lot of care into every meal they make. ☺️ The food is really great and fresh, would come again.

Came here shortly after they opened. Nice atmosphere with the regular crowd in there. Our server was right on top of everyone, making sure we had everything we needed and were enjoying our meal. I got the meat lover skillet and really enjoyed it. My friend got the biscuits and gravy. They used muffins for this, and she commented on it not being what she wanted. All in all, I’d go back and enjoy another meal here.

We are doing a really cool road trip before gas prices make it undoable, this gem in Portage Wisconsin is Amazing! I was totally in the mood for a good small town breakfast and this place is exactly what I wanted.
I got the Farmers Skillet and it came with two pancakes, so much food for $9.99!! And it’s not only the quantity but it’s absolutely delicious.
If you’re riding by or even if you’re not, this place is worth the drive.
The staff was also incredible, small town, happy, and friendly. Everything I love about America!

This was my first visit to Red Apple in Portage. The server was extremely friendly and the food was delicious. I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich which not many places have that but it is by far my favorite! It was really good and my daughter loved her cheeseburger and fries. Not to mention a heaping mound of cheese curds. If you’re in the area or just passing through, it’s a must stop!

I used to enjoy eating at the Red Apple. Over the last year the condition of the building had given me second thoughts. The bathrooms are literally falling apart. Most likely harboring mold in the walls where the tile is falling off. The floor in the dining area is also in really poor shape. Its so bad it can’t be cleaned properly. Water damage is also present under the wall mounted air conditioners. Most likely causes mold inside the walls. If these areas in plain sight are this bad what is lurking in the kitchen we can’t see. The health department should do something about this. I will not be returning anytime soon unfortunately.

Love this place! Good ‘Ole home country cookin’! Their chicken fried steak is the Best! Servings are large. Staff is friendly. Family vibe. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner. You can’t go wrong. Wide variety of menu items to chose from. Belgium waffles with berries and whipped cream. Pancakes with pecans and or chocolate chips! I’m hungry just thinking about it!
