Alyssa was great!
I went on a night where there was live music. The bands were ‘meh’, which doesn’t reflect on the establishment. What does however is the disinterested board op (or ‘sound guy’ for you non-AV folk) who couldn’t be bothered to mix the bands correctly. This venue, like so many, has a subpar PA system and unimpressive basic/fixed color wash lights.
All-in-all, not very impressed. Food was decent, drinks were underwhelming, service was pretty good considering how packed the place was, presentation of food & drinks is non-existent, live sound was not great, bathrooms were a bit run-down and the atmosphere of the place leaves much to be desired. Bit of a dive, not in a hurry return but seems well liked by the regulars.
we loved that, we got the spicy Cauliflower, scallion pancakes, spicy chicken w/ some veggies and some noodles dish that was also good.
We came for a quick lunch during the October festivities.
The menu is small but very good. Everything we ordered was excellent and the food came out at a decent pace.
They were not super busy and I know why, the service was terrible. They took for her to get our drinks, forgot one, and they never came back. It was a good runner who brought the food and we tried to tell him about our missed drink.
They brought after we were done and had paid and then charged us for it separately without asking or a conversation.
Really just garbage service.
The food is really good though. So tread carefully.
It got to the point in the trip where all I needed was Asian food. We decided to stop by Koto Salem Mass before hopping on the train, and I’m so happy that we did because I felt revived. I kept it simple and ordered a beef lo mein, and the portion was huge for only $14!!! …and I ate it all.
I don’t know if I would go out of my way to eat at this restaurant again, but if you’re in the area and need a quick bite, this is a good place!
PS: bathrooms were clean! I was impressed.
