Friday night and my husband says he’s hungry. Instead of figuring out a late-night snack at home, we just pulled into Original Tommy’s World Famous Hamburgers. Problem solved.
I don’t eat beef, so this was fully his order. He got three burgers total: two California Classic Cheeseburgers and one Chili Cheeseburger.
Timing was perfect. From 2/12 to 2/15/2026 they had a promo, Chili Cheeseburger or Classic Cheeseburger for $3.49 each. Getting 3 for the deal in 2026, especially in OC where fast food prices keep going up, felt like a little win.
His take:
The California Classic Cheeseburgers are thin and flavor wise, just okay. The Chili Cheeseburger was much better, thick chili, savory, mild kick, but you definitely need extra napkins when eating it.
Three burgers for around $11 still feels like a good deal, especially for a late-night snack that no one has to cook. Everyone wins.
Tommy’s is not trendy or aesthetic. It is just dependable, old school SoCal comfort food when the craving hits.

If you charge $16 for a coney, fries, and a drink it better be incredible, it was good but not worth the money. The dog had a good snap to it and the chili was decent, not incredible however. The fries were very good for a frozen fry. I’ll try this place again and try a burger and see if it’s then worth the money.

The quality is inconsistent, and I often get diarrhea after eating these spring rolls. I’m not sure if it’s an issue with the food or if it just doesn’t agree with me. I used to really like them, but it’s not the same anymore.

Drove up from San Diego because they closed thus chain in SD and my family was in LA area for other reasons…. the food was good, the fries cooked to perfection, the ladies working there were super sweet… only reason for the 4 is there is no indoor seating and the drive-thru is super non-productive because you have to order at the same window you pick up the food from… so if there is a line, you are better off parking and ordering at walk-up window…. and this won’t go well on a rainy day. Lucky for us it was a warm summer day.

Ok I love Tommy’s Chili Cheeseburgers growing up in L.A. This location was a bit extra special for me cause if you look in the front window you can see them preparing your burger Hot. Fresh and Delicious right before your eyes. My chili burger was flavorful n Hot, fries were Hot n Crispy just you would want and expect them to be. I always make sure to stop by Tommy’s everytime I visit Los Angeles. Go get your Grub on it’s the Best.

Alexandra and Jackie were amazing!!! This has always been my favorite Tommy’s since it was the first time I had their chili cheese fries many years ago. Super friendly and professional. They both made me feel welcome and I am glad I stopped! Be sure to check their Insta page for deals weekly!

I’ve been going to Tommy’s since the late 1990s. In the past 10 years, after have not gone to one in a few years, when I see one while driving around, the get nostalgic and desire their chili-cheese burger. And every time I have one, I’m always reminded how much better /tastier/ quality In-N-Out burgers are.
The food is aiight, but definitely not worth spending $30 for two burgers and chill-cheese fries. I hope I’ll remember this the next time I’m feeling nostalgic

Have been gong to the original Tommy’s on West Beverly in LA for 30+ years!! I went to the one in Westminster off of Goldenwest and Westminster Blvd!! The service was fast and the food was good!! A lot more room to park and eat than the Original one on Beverly Blvd! The No. 1 Double Chiliburger combo was perfect!! The chili was so good and so were the fries! Wil def come back!!

Super disappointing. We ordered a double 1/4 quarter pounder burger and large french fries. INSTEAD we received a regular chili cheese burger and small fries. My husband has dairy allergy and couldn’t eat the burger because they put cheese when we asked for NO cheese. Stay away from this place as you will be disappointed. It was expensive especially for them to mess up our order. Also as we were waiting we saw one of the workers putting her hand directly in the ice without gloves…disgusting.
