Good ambience and attentive staff. The Gobi Manchurian stood out (4.5/5) with crisp texture and balanced flavor. Delhiwala Butter Masala was decent (3.5/5), though lighter on butter than expected. Garlic naan was well made. I first tried the jackfruit biryani, but it lacked flavor and jackfruit pieces. The staff quickly replaced it with a veggie biryani, which was satisfactory. Service was responsive and handled the situation well. Overall, a solid dining spot with good appetizers and naan, and worth visiting for casual dining in Katy.

This place is truly one of a kind! One of my favorite cuisines! I always have an amazing experience each time I visit. Pictured below is the mango lassi (a deliciously sweet drink) , cocktail samosas (samosas with potato and spices), and finally the main event the butter chicken pasta! The food is so good & made with lots of love! 10/10 would recommend!

We tried the chicken biryani and curry which were both very good. The garlic naan and roti were soft and buttery. Service was nice and attentive. I would definitely return!

I walked in and asked how long it would take for our order to be served. The waitress said 10–15 minutes. We ordered one plate of samosas and two masala dosas to eat there, plus two goat biryanis to go. It ended up taking almost 40 minutes just to get the samosas and dosas.

There was only one waitress, who was also helping in the kitchen, and one cashier who was moving from table to table for payments. It seemed like the entire restaurant was being run by just a few family members, with no real staff to manage the crowd or kitchen.

The samosas were burnt and hard, but the worst part — there was a small cockroach inside one of the masala dosas. It was shocking and absolutely unacceptable. That’s not just poor service, that’s a serious hygiene issue.

The restaurant was busy, which is a good sign for any business, but when you have that many customers, you need proper staffing and strict cleanliness. This experience was incredibly disappointing and concerning.

I wish I could give negative stars

We are visiting Houston and tried Turmeric Indian Cuisine and Bar. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing due to poor service and food quality. I ordered Hakka noodles, which were overcooked and had a hair in them. When I informed the server, she was not cooperative at all. After about 10 minutes, she came back and asked what we wanted instead.

We then ordered a masala dosa, which took nearly 30 minutes to be served. On top of that, water was barely served at the table, and we had to wait without proper attention from the staff. Overall, very poor service and an unpleasant dining experience. I would not recommend this place.

My pregnant wife was craving the authentic, beautiful taste of Tumeric, so there we went. Babu, the most charismatic man in the room, comes up and makes us feel right at home, sits us down, and gets us started with our menus, and a happy smile. When I tell you the Punjabi chicken curry was amazing, I would be understating how truly delicious this dish was. Paired with the garlic naan and a mango lasi, I couldnt have asked for a better way to end my day. Now, I’m going home with a full stomach, and a happy, pregnant wife. Thank you again to the amazing Mr Babu and the rest of the Tumeric team.

My husband and I had a feast. We started with the Mango Lassis, Street Style Samosa Chats Cauliflower Pakoda, and let me tell you those delicious appetizer were a positive precursor to the entrees that followed. For our entrees we had Delhiwala Butter Masala, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan! We hadn’t had Indian food this good in a long time! Everything was absolutely delicious. All the food was perfectly seasoned and very aromatic flavors. This is our new favorite Indian food spot we will definitely be revisiting. The service was also good! Very nice individuals that work there. Very clean, the music and ambience was great! Highly recommend!

Our visit to this restaurant was quite disappointed overall. The prices are very high the food taste did not justify the cost

The service also felt lacking. The server appeared exhausted possibly due to long working hours or low wages.

The most uncomfortable was the payment process. The staff repeatedly pressured us to leave a tip in cash. Tips paid by card is not reaching the staff. Tipping should never be forced, especially when the service and food quality are below expectations.

Given the high prices and disappointing experience, we chose not to tip. Even after paying, we were again asked to confirm whether we had left a tip, which made the situation even more awkward.

Advice to management: Please take better care of your employees by ensuring fair wages and that tips are fully passed on to them. You have already overcharging us and dont pass your employees salary as well on customers.

Advice to staff: Good service is what earns tips. Customers should not be made to feel responsible for compensating for your wages. If they are not paying you well, go find another job.

Overall, this visit was very disappointing, and we will not be returning.
