El Amigo Bar and Grill is hands-down one of the best spots in town! The food here is phenomenal, and the staff is just as amazing. Every time I walk in, I’m greeted with friendly faces and seated right away. The service is quick and efficient—within five minutes of ordering, my food is already hitting the table.
The chips and salsa are always fresh, and the guacamole is fire! I always go for the steak, shrimp, and chicken fajitas—they hit the spot every single time.
It’s conveniently located right around the corner from my job, and we probably come here at least twice a week, if not more. Whether you’re grabbing lunch or dinner, this place never disappoints. Highly recommend!

We used to live in southern California and this is by far the best Mexican food I have had since moving to Alabama. I didn’t think amazing authentic Mexican food existed out here, but this place proved me wrong. I had the street tacos, 10/10 for flavor, quality of meat, portion, did I mention FLAVOR! The green salsa was delicious too. Chips & salsa were served before our meal and we loved those as well. I had the regular margarita which was very good, and I’m a bit of a margarita snob. Service was fast & friendly which was just a nice addition to our first visit. I can’t wait to come back up this way so we can have a meal here again!

I ate here for lunch and the food was very fresh (especially the salsa and chips)and my server was very polite and helpful. (Sorry pictures are a little blurry) Nice and clean restaurant, and the atmosphere was inviting. It’s also convenient to the Hyundai plant and interstate 65. Will visit this restaurant again!
