We tried Urban Tadka at the suggestion of friends at church. We are happy we did. The food was good. We all wanted spicy and it was a good choice. My wife ordered chicken Tikka masala, our son ordered butter chicken, and I ordered mutter paneer. Who knew food could be this good? We will be back.

Literally the best Indian restaurant in DFW. There is a reason why it’s packed on a Wednesday night.
Tandoor and methi chicken curry were so flavorful! Reminded my wife of home. We have been on a quest to find that special taste of India for her and found it at Urban Tadka.

Food was so horrible. Chicken tikka chicken was so hard to even bit when I told the girl who took the order she comes without saying anything says I will change the curry. I think that’s rude she comes and tells me we will give fresh curry. She comes to me be like check the curry before you guys take it home I said I will. I felt so weird the chicken tikka 17.99 it was not at all worth our bill was 70$ for paneer chilli, chicken tikka, tandoori, rice and naan which was not at all worth. I would not recommend this restaurants their way better restaurants in Dallas Irving area which have way better food. Taste was not even great. Tandoori chicken was just taste less.

The food was great. We got the butter chicken (4/5), dhaba paneer (5/5), and dal pajratni (forgot the name, but was AMAZING 5/5). They really turned around the food from its downfall before COVID. A little on the expensive side, but the food was definitely worth it.
However, service has always been terrible, and that hasn’t changed. It was exceptionally terrible this time, as we tried to order extra naan but they “were no longer accepting orders due to high demand”, which is outrageous. This is on top of the 20 min wait for a server and another 20-30 min wait for the food.
Food was great, but service seriously needs to get fixed. It’s a shame that such a great restaurant is hindered by terrible service.

Whenever I miss home and want Indian takeout, this is my go-to spot. Always worth the drive! Delicious daals, parathas, fish pakoras. It’s always prepared fresh and you can taste the quality and depth in flavour.
10/10. Indian approved ✅

I generally don’t leave negative reviews but this incident made me write one. I placed an order through DoorDash and they didn’t get a DoorDash driver to come pick up our order on time because the restaurant apparently didn’t confirm that the order is ready according to the DoorDash driver, and I called the restaurant to find out what’s going on. I agree that it’s not restaurant’s responsibility to figure out doordash’s delay, and the restaurant waited a few minutes beyond close time to deliver my food. When I called them and spoke nicely just to find out where the problem was, the guy who received my call was extremely rude with me. He started screaming at me to stop calling them and it’s not their responsibility. I understand the frustration due to the mix up but there was no need to be so rude with me. They could have just canceled the order if there was a bug with the app. It was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. They need to do better with their customer service. It’s a shame that their food is good but the customer service is so mean with the customers. Don’t do business with 3rd party companies if you can’t handle situations like these professionally.

I like this place. Punjabi style. Food were milder, not too spicy, so good. Lots of Punjabi butter. Good food. The down side is onion with food we need to pay for $0.99. yellow cut onion, with green chilies.

Looking at the reviews for this place really puts into perspective how ridiculous people can be, and how most of the bad reviews are from people who have barely tried Indian food, or are being too hard on the waitstaff. Put simply this place has some of the best and most authentic Indian food in the Dallas area. I have been to dozens of Indian places in the US and this is in my top 3. I have been on 4 separate occasions and have always received great service and consistent food. Their portion sizes are also some of the larger I have come across. Their cheese naan is amazing and the samosas are some of the best I’ve ever had.
For people who are concerned about spice, their levels are mild medium or spicy. Mild has slightly more kick than the average place, my wife doesn’t like spice and does just fine with it though. Spicy is fairly intense, I love spicy food, and it pushes my limit. You won’t be disappointed if you’re looking for spice.

Went to this restaurant to celebrate a birthday (party of 8). The food was amazing, staff was warm, friendly, efficient and professional. Even the owner, Mr Happy Singh who happens to be from Amritsar, came to thank us for the business. The place isn’t super fancy but nice. It wasn’t crowded, so we could have a nice conversation and also enjoy the food. Would definitely go back
