Just went this afternoon with my family and can definitely say this place has yummy food for the price. My boys loved their pulled pork sandwiches and especially their fries, they were just the right amount of crunchy kn the outside but soft in the middle. I got the pulled pork platter with pork and bean and mac and LOVED it, couldn’t get enough. Hubby got the brisket platter and was not so very pleased but sucked it up; hence the 4 stars. As you can tell from the picture, the brisket was a little dry. But other than that, everything else was super good. Was not expensive at all. Our waiter was also very attentive. Highly recommend this place if you’re in town.

Not all that great.
So I’m updating this review from 5 years ago, as they are currently under new management. Came out for lunch with some coworkers and my shrimp platter was flavorful and good. My coworkers were pleased with their food which I included pictures of. I say give the new management a try! ☺️

We were coming back from a wedding. My husband ALWAYS wants BBQ. So, we stopped at Grover T’s BBQ. We were not used to the area so we were a little hesitant with being a black couple, but our server made us feel very comfortable. When we asked for her suggestions. She gave us her honest opinion. We REALLY liked that! Because of that we ordered way more than we would have normally done. However, we feel that the food wasn’t at the calibre in flavor that we like or are used to. Yet, I really liked the brisket queso a LOT. Everything else was missing salt, flavor, or something. The turkey had the most flavor. It was my second best list there. The environment was nice.

I am so glad they are part of Harvest Hosts, or I would have missed this gem of a spot. 1st the manager greeted me with a welcome pack. Great move guys thanks. Then, the entire staff were super friendly and helpful. Chance my server, AKA best bartender was super attentive in his duties even though I decided to sit on the porch with my dog . What a great place to stop for the night, enjoy a couple beers and have some local BBQ, (brown dog had the pulled pork sandwich) I had the local mullet fish and chips, Note: the sandwich in the picture was half eaten when picture was taken. Good size portions, and a true recommended stop. If you are locals you have to stop by if you haven’t already!!

Stopped in on a Harvest Host overnight. The manager gave me free onion rings, which was appreciated! However, my onion rings and fried okra were undercooked. I had the catfish, and both the catfish and fries were cooked perfectly.
Next time through I’ll try the BBQ.
Service was excellent and everyone was friendly.

We went on a Wednesday afternoon and practically had the place to ourselves. I had the bacon cheddar burger with onion rings. My husband had the 2 meat combo with baked beans and potato casserole. We got the loaded fries as an appetizer thanks to our awesome server’s suggestion. Everything was absolutely delicious. The portions were so big that we struggled to finish our food. The service was so friendly and efficient. Even though we are just here for a few days while on vacation, I know we’ll be back!

Got the family pack and all of it was very good! We ordered online and picked it up at 11 am and they were ready on time. They gave us extra sauce for the meat. You could definitely tell these were made fresh. The fried okra was not oily. The chicken tenders were so tender and juicy. The brisket was so tender and just melted in your mouth type taste. Everything was so good! The only best tasting brisket I have had was a friend of mine. But this was a great comparison. Best brisket in town. This place is so much better than Sonny’s for sure. Sonny’s can not compare with this place. Great price as well for how much you get. Even though I have to drive 25 minutes to get the food here, I don’t mind at all!

Very generous portions at an affordable price. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and i swear it was an entire jars worth of pickles! I had the catfish platter with the catfish grilled. First time having it prepared that way, and I was NOT disappointed. My wife had the BBQ pork sandwich with fries. Happy hour on drinks all day Saturday, by the way.

Grover T’s is my favorite local BBQ spot. My go to are the BBQ Nachos, BBQ Fried Green Tomatoes and their Sweet Tea is pretty good. I also like to get their Two Meat BBQ Combo with their Sausage and their Beef Brisket and you cannot go wrong with any of their Country-Style Sides. Also their corn muffin is delicious!

Finally made our first trip to Grover T’s!! Shrimp bo-boy, kids pulled pork, fried green tomatoes, small Brunswick stew. It was getting busy around 11:30 on a Friday, but easy in and seated.
Good tea. Kinda been missing the bread from New Orleans. Now I just need a king cake from Gambino’s. Mmm. Everything worked great for the taste. For the price too. If you’re looking for a nice quiet romantic dinner this isn’t the place… but if you’re wanting a great meal with your sweetheart, try it. (Music was a little loud)
The pulled pork and stew was great. Stew had nice chunks of meat, not just shredded. Yummy fries. There was a lot of bread for the amount of shrimp but the shrimp was not over cooked, which will ruin a good po-boy. BBQ sauce on the table is smokey good flavor that’s hitting just right on spices. Not too hot. And why use ketchup when you’re provided such a good bbq sauce? The jalapeno corn muffin wasn’t crazy spicy either.
Locals in Pace and Milton area probably know this place well.
