It isn’t often that I’d leave a bad review but…We had a really bad experience last night at this restaurant. The service was abysmal, from the second we walked in and had to wait for over 5minutes before anyone one of the many wait staff actually acknowledged us stood in the doorway waiting to be seated.
We ordered drinks and after 10minutes we were told that they what we ordered wasn’t available and we should order something else. We were the only table that weren’t offered poppadoms and when we asked for some, the waitress told us she was only for the bar and we would have to ask someone else. Then we asked a second waitress who brought us 1 poppadom each and we had to ask if there were any dips.
We ordered starters and after an hour of waiting and having to ask where our food was, our main was then served (the starters never came). We ordered a second drink and that never came. The food was ok, but I wouldn’t go back for it. Shocking service from a restaurant that is well presented, we were really looking forward to a nice experience…but it was terrible. I asked who the manager was and I was told they don’t have one. I guess that explains why the service was terrible. I don’t think I’ve been that disappointed with a restaurant experience in many years

Went there with my office colleagues. Personally, it’s the best Indian food I have had in Rotterdam. Excellent meat dishes – full of taste and flavours. Their Vegan starter is also awesome.

One thing I really liked was that they didn’t really water down all the spice. The spice was exactly on the level of how normal Indian homes cook. 🙂

The feeling I had was that all the dishes had the same seasoning, some dishes were spicier than others. The meats were tasty, but it was hard to tell the difference between the flavor and the type of meat you were eating, because the spicy seasonings were quite noticeable. We also ordered vegetables and they were extremely spicy, after the first bite I couldn’t eat any more.
The famous mango drink disappointed me, it looks like a thick frozen mango smoothie with yogurt, it doesn’t have much flavor. Overall it’s an interesting experience if you’re curious about Indian cuisine.

We’ve had a very pleasant experience! Booked through Social Deal and we’ve enjoyed it very much. Contruary to other reviews, our food came through super fast. The service was good with very friendly and thoughtful waitresses. The portions are great! The naan was a bit too flat for my liking, but the Biryani and Butter Chicken were fantastic.

I visited this restaurant during a business trip to the Netherlands with my Korean colleagues. I suggested this Indian restaurant because it was close to our hotel and had a nice atmosphere and vibe.

However, ordering was only possible through an electronic tablet, with no option to explain preferences properly. As an Indian, I enjoy spicy food—not “European spicy”—so I specifically requested Indian spicy Chana Masala.

Unfortunately, the dish was extremely spicy, to the point where it was inedible. It felt excessive rather than flavorful. I couldn’t finish the meal and had to leave it untouched, resulting in a waste of €25. I then had to eat again at another nearby restaurant.

The restaurant was very crowded, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. When I paid and mentioned the issue, the staff member appeared embarrassed but couldn’t do much at that moment.

Tip to the owner: “Indian spicy” does not mean adding all available spices in house. Food should be cooked according to the customer’s request. Overly spicy food can negatively affect a customer’s health.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the food. Never again..!!

We made the reservation in advance and got discount for early dinner.
Ambience is nice.
At first everything was okay.
Veg starters platter can be improved(ism’t value for money).
Didn’t like the cocktails also, rest of the food was okay.
Then we ordered desserts and even after half an hour nobody returned with our order, then we asked about and only then thry came back saying they dont have it. So you didnt bother to inform us when order is placed, kept us waiting gor 30 mins and they didnt even apologized and were kind of rude.

The food here is very delicious. Service is quick and friendly. Ordering is very convenient using the tablet system. Ambience inside is also great! We ordered a curry tasting variety and every dish was an absolute banger! Also had appetizers and the samosa’s are really great. If you like curry with coconut, the kerala prawns are an absolute recommendation. Would definitely recommend and would definitely revisit 91 spices again, 10/10 heerlie de peerlie.

For starters we had samosa and chicken which were good. For the main course we had the paneer kofta and veg kurma. The curry’s are extremely sweet, and not authentic to the Indian taste. The dessert (paneer cheesecake) was okish, nothing special about it. The place has a good ambience though.

Stopped by on a Monday evening.

We were welcomed with a complementary papadum w/ (1) mint dip & (2) mango dip. The papadum was tasty. We did not like the mint and mango dips.

You order your food & beverages through a tablet. You also use the tablet to ask for extra cutlery or the bill.

We ordered the mixed meat platter to share. The mixed meat platter includes: 2x samosa, 2x onion bhaji, 2x half a chicken sheekh kebab, 2x half a lamb sheekh kebab and 4x chicken wings. The samosa was tasty. The onion bhaji was tasty too, but arrived cold. The meat (sheekh kebabs and chicken wings) were not warm. It was as if they had been plated in advance. The sheekh kebabs were seasoned well. The lamb sheekh kebab was quite spicy.

Our mains were the lamb rogan josh (light spicy), the lamb madras (medium spicy) and the bread basket. The lamb in the curry was boneless mutton. Lamb is quite tender. Mutton is much tougher in comparison. Both curries were tasty. The rogan josh tasted more earthy. The madras tasted more tangy. The bread basket includes a variety of bread. 3 breads chosen by the chef. Our breads were (1) aloo paratha, (2) butter naan and (3) garlic naan. The aloo paratha was quite spicy. I did not like it, but my partner did. The butter naan was my favourite. It was thin and crispy and slathered in butter.

Service could have been better.
The servers were not that attentive.
We asked for extra serviettes twice and they only brought them over when we no longer needed them. (When they arrived, we had finished our meal and already washed our hands in the bathroom.)
We accidentally ordered 2 bread baskets and immediately rectified it. Server 1 communicated it to the kitchen. And, server 2 amended our order in their system. But, when server 3 brought us the bill, we were still charged for 2 bread baskets – even though we had only had 1.

The bathroom was clean, but very dark.

I would not order the mixed meat platter again. Mostly because it arrived lukewarm. I would order their curry again. Not one of the best curries I have ever had, but definitely not one of the worst. My current favourite curry by this restaurant is the butter chicken.

Ordered the mango lassie, samosa and butter chicken via Uber Eats. The food was supposed to be delivered between 4.45 and 5.00. And, it arrived (> 1 hr later) at 6.05. When the food arrived, the samosa and butter chicken had cooled down. I had to pop both in the microwave for a couple of minutes. The butter chicken was very good. I did not enjoy the samosa and mango lassie. If you order via Uber Eats, please bear in mind that they take a very long time to deliver your food. (I ordered my food at 4.00 and it did not arrive until after 6.00.) And, they do not update the tracker (estimated time of delivery) on the Uber Eats app.

Ordered the butter chicken. Rice was included.
The butter chicken was very tasty.

The chicken was soft and tender. However, my curry also had a lot of chicken skin, bones and cartilage – which I did not like.

If you are picking up a takeaway, do not use the main entrance (which leads to the restaurant). Instead take the same door as the delivery men.

Food was great, flavourful and good selection. Haven’t had quality Indian food like this since I left the UK many years ago. The timing of the dishes being delivered to the table was the only issue, so we had to wait a few minutes for the rest to turn up.
