Such a solid boozer. Pictured is the ends of some poutine that was swiftly demolished. The scran is very good for a pub, ranging from some tasty steak frites on deal to some fun versus nights that served up varied cultural food matched with cocktails and beers!
Been many a time and planning on going back many more. Staff are super friendly, the range of beers is extensive and the atmosphere and vibes are class. For a chain pub on the best street in Glasgow, it’s absolutely nothing to shake your head at!
What a banging night in here every time I go! Cheers 🙂

Little tasty bite in Ashton Lane. The Fries were tasty with a healthy dousing of garlic butter
I was impressed with how nice the the cauliflower bites were – they were glazed with gochujang, sesame, and tamari soy.
The 0% lager tasted vinegary, I regret not trying it out the can as maybe it was the glasses but alas. Not ideal

We visited the Innis & Gunn pub near the University of Glasgow on Ashton Lane. The pub was lively and quite crowded. My friends and I all opted for the steak—mainly tempted by the offer of a second portion for free. The steak was delicious, and the chips came in a generous portion, making the £19 price very reasonable. Both my friend and I received our second portions, which were equally generous.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the man at the bar was particularly patient in explaining the different local whiskies to us. It’s a great environment—an ideal spot for students to relax and enjoy a good meal deal.

We had the beer tasting flight: a fine collection indeed. You cannot go wrong with the double steak frites. Tasty as always. The place was alive with good food, excellent beer and good minded people. The staff were engaging and good humored. The perfect night out.

3 of us had a great afternoon at the Tap Room and took part in the Brew School. The food was excellent as were the various beers that Craig, our Brew Master, kept delivering. The Brew School was smaller than I expected but Craig was great and kept the afternoon going with his knowledge, chat and anecdotes. All very enjoyable and well worth it. Hopefully the 3 5 litre kegs of beer that we made will live up to the great afternoon we had.

the vegan burger was amazing! very flavourful with a nice variety of textures. the cook on the steak wasn’t as expected but it was still okay. salt and vinegar onion rings were alright. however the beer was smashing. loved the cherrywood ale. service was alright, they seemed a bit understaffed and perhaps that’s why i couldn’t quite get a read on our server. they made some joke about us being american despite us not being american at all. was a bit weird but i’ll live. i would definitely come back.

Brews and food, nice folk. We had Mac & cheese and spicy wings. Plus a Guinness on tap and I&G Caribbean Rum Cask Red to wash them down.
The red was Great. M&C was very good, maybe not quite at the level Beecher’s (Seattle) or Gruyere (Gruyere) but fine indeed.

Eaten twice in here now and the food and service have been fantastic. Steak frites deal is the best around the West End with the parmesan fries, but my favourite is the KFC cauliflower, tastiest thing I’ve had in a long time. Can’t wait to go back
