Reserved seats for Sunday Jazz brunch. Booth seatings at the upstairs brasserie were nice and had high hopes for relaxed brunch with Jazz. Excellent service by Juan and loved the menu options for classic French brasserie. But what disappointment it was for Sunday jazz…, whole space acoustic was echoey, very noisy, Jazz band was way too loud yet couldnt really hear as all mixed in with noise level in the place. Then this sudden appearance of biniki dancers weaving through tables dancing and climbing up on booths was a totally distasteful arrangement by the restaurant, especially during a Sunday brunch hour! Not sure if this was just for Valentine’s weekend but it was an unpleasant attack during our meal.
We still managed to enjoy some of the dishes with great service by our server Juan.
-French onion soup $17 pricy but is a must try, one of the best we’ve tried.
-pop overs $5
-escargot $21 very little snails and almost no garlic butter flavor.. disappointing.
-crap cocktail $24 chives, Dijon vinaigrette, chips. Fresh and tasty, interesting option from raw bar
-tuna Nicoise $19 blue fin, salad, egg, mustard & labneh vinaigrette. Loved the dressing
-croque monsieur $19 bechamel, gruyere. Perfect!

What an experience!

How have I never been to Rochambeau!?! Well I have made it thanks to restaurant week. The space has two level, but we were seated on the main level in a cozy booth. The hostess were welcoming even able to seat us earlier than our reservation. Our server Sara(h) was great, she was able to answer any questions we had or was able to see what beverage could be made to our liking.
Now for the food….. we opted to go with their prefix menu for $37. Warm baguette and lightly toss lettuce in vinegette. You had the choice of mussels or steak with frites (unlimited). Of course we had to each get one or the other. We also added the crab cocktail with chips as an additional appetizer. Everything that hit that table was flavorful except the fries. We honestly would have preferred the housemade chips with our main dishes. If the fries were crisper we both agreed it would be spot on. We were too stuffed to even attempt dessert. For cocktail we opted for martinis the first two rounds were passionfruit and the last one was what I am calling apple harvest. An apple cider/apple pie in a glass delicious.

I loved the place, everything was delicious
To start, as an appetizer we ordered burrata cheese with octopus, gnocchi, and bread with butter.
For the main course, we had two salmons that were cooked to perfection – delicious! An exquisite steak and a bolognese pasta that was a party in my mouth!
The chef came to our table so we could congratulate him on his work, He was super kind and told us his name was Jorge Coronado. He explained each dish to us and we felt comfortable and very grateful.
To finish, we had a crème brûlée and a chocolate swan with ice cream.
Everything was so delicious that we are really thinking about coming back soon.

My family came from Mexico to visit me and I wanted to take them to a special place. It truly exceeded our expectations. We will definitely come back soon and we are very thankful to Chef Jorge for being so kind and friendly with us.
The waiter was attentive but not very friendly

Rouchambeau exceeded expectations! The French onion soup, steak frites and salmon were amazing. Incredible flavor and great service by Diego. He started off by giving us fantastic cocktail recs: The Anjou Noir martini and the Charles VII were so easy to drink and had unique flavors. They even treated us to a complimentary dessert. We will be back!

10/10 Experience! Everytime I come to Rochambeau I leave more than satisfied but this visit was made extra special by Juan Valdez, top tier service. He was extremely attentive and accommodating, he took excellent care of me and my family and smiled every second of it! I highly recommend!

This had to be the best brunch in the city! The steak and eggs! Was the best I’ve ever had! The eggs tasted like butter, light and fluffy. The steak was so tender and I loved the butter sauce they placed on the side. The baguette was so warm and it came with a side of small crunchy pickles. Everything was seasoned to perfection! I would definitely make this restaurant my regular brunch spot. Will be returning soon!

Super classy but comfortable vibe. Sarah, my server, was the sweetest and so attentive. Everyone gave great service, including the hostesses and servers assistants as well.

I got the prix-fixe which included a salad, bread, and a steak with unlimited fries. For the price, this meal was more than I could’ve asked for.

I also got the Pomme Pétillante mocktail which was delicious! I highly recommend!

5 stars- this is my first time in Boston, and I am impressed already!

I was craving steak a few weeks ago so decided to try this French restaurant. I ordered the steak and fries which comes with a side salad. They also serve bread with the salad before the meal and it was so good. As for the steak, I ordered my steak medium well however it came medium with blood oozing out. I informed the waitress and she was kind enough to take the plate and ask the chef to cook the steak a bit more. It also came with too little sauce so we asked the waitress and she brought us more at no cost. This shows how great the service is. But I honestly didn’t like the steak much. The meat itself is good but without the extra sauce it was a bit dry and with the extra sauce it felt too heavy. It’s a good value for money but not the best steak I had.

Good lord I love this place! I have been here 4-5 times specifically for the $37 steak frites deal. The fresh bread to start hits every time however be warned the butter is unsalted but has salt flakes on top so you may get a mouth full of salt if you’re not paying attention. An excellent salad comes next with the most refreshing dressing. Then comes the steak which is cooked and cut so nicely with a very flavorful sauce drizzled on top. Finally I like to end the night with an expresso martini but they have a great list of other desserts/drinks.
