It has a good amount of seating and customer service was pretty fast when we went.
Would come back again
.
Good food with great service.
Some veggie options.
I had a veggie burger with the salad
and both were excellent.
The place has a local pub feel and is mostly a bar.
A good full bar with a lot of beers, wines, and quality liquor. Mixed drinks too.
Nice wooden decor and seats.
ONLY drawback is the sound level.
The upstairs is another bar and more relaxed tables, including low tables with sofas. What I saw was a mostly white 20’s and 30’s crowd, but I felt very welcome. I’m 67 and was with people of color.
Although I was not terribly hungry, the tots with jalapeño dipping sauce (as recommended by one of the employees) was delicious and did a great job of soaking up the tequila! The employee that assisted us made a well-crafted, flavorful margarita (so flavorful that I ordered a second one for myself). While my friend and I chatted, a nice crowd of folks started filing in and a nice playlist of early 2000’s pop music filled the air. Although there was a little crowd, it did not change how attentive and engaging staff were.
The drinks are whatever; they’re well drinks with a hardcore open-mic crowd propping up the vibe. But the bigger problem is the staff. Unless they already know you, they make it very clear you’re not welcome. It’s an energy straight out of a small, insular bar—unfriendly to outsiders—even though we’re in diverse city. It’s dumb, and it’s bad business.
If you’re looking for a place where you actually feel acknowledged, respected, or even just neutrally greeted, go literally anywhere else. This isn’t it.
