Bob’s Drive-In in Le Mars hits the spot! The tavern, hot dog, and cheese curds were tasty, but the real stars were the crispy onion rings and creamy root beer float. A classic lunch stop that’s worth the visit!

Had to write a review. I am always impressed by the exuberance of the staff. Always helpful and positive. Food is very good. Menu had things rarely seen at the chain restaurants. The atmosphere of the interior is also unchain-like, which is refreshing. I hope this never changes.

It’s a small town drive in so nothing is going to be spectacular but it is a pretty great spot. Clean, friendly and good for an afternoon ice cream treat or a bit more if you want something to eat besides the typical fast food.

This place is a staple of the community. Been here for decades. People come from all over, just like Bobs bar (unrelated) in Martinsburg, NE (I have a review on that one too). Motorcycle groups, mustang groups etc., make this place a destination to travel to, stop and eat, and head back. You can order and eat inside, but they have order windows so you can order from outside as well. There are 2 outside areas to eat at. One is a deck that is on a side of the building, and then another is a patio style with tables and lights. Place is knows for its hot dogs abs taverns. They have great shakes abs malts too. The hot fudge marshmallow is pretty good.

Worst hotdog I’ve ever had the misfortune of eating. Hotdog lukewarm meat sauce lukewarm and tasteless and the bun was ice cold like it just came out of fridge. Onion rings average. Service and cleanliness very good. If you go there don’t order the hotdogs!

The service is wonderful and friendly. They are down to earth, nice people that work here. The food is fresh, seasoned nicely, and not overly salted! I had chicken fingers & onion rings because they are my favorite. I would’ve liked to have had some homemade ranch dip as that compliments the chicken nicely. I’m a diet coke person, but since it wasn’t available, the diet Dr pepper was a nice change of taste. I would highly recommend trying dinner here. I was visiting so I didn’t get to sample more menu items, but I highly recommend them and it was a nice change from the burger joints I’m used to in Las Vegas. Thanks for a pleasant visit!

It’s been over a decade since I’ve been to Bob’s, but they still have the Bob Dog with tavern meat and a great chocolate malt. The menu has grown as well as the size since I lived in LeMars, but Bob’s keeps the classics alive.

Always quality food and service with a smile! We enjoyed a couple of dogs, salad and fries, and all were delish and presented nicely! The view from the outside deck was great, especially when unbeknownst to us, a scheduled car show unfolded around us in the parking lot! I definitely recommend giving the ‘Step’ Dog a try if you like spice and crunch, and my bf highly recommends the Southwestern Salad offered. A must-visit if you’re visiting the Ice Cream Capital of the World 🙂

Nice little place to get lunch. Has been several years since I had the opportunity. Had a chili dog and fries. Malt was excellent and the staff is friendly and fast. Stop and get something…you won’t regret it.
