Absolutely great deal for a local Chicago dog and Chili dog, and it was delicious! Plenty of parking and staff were super friendly at the walk-up window. There is also a drive through I’ll probably use next time. I was just really craving a Chicago Dog and this hit the spot!

Good Chicago dogs they forgot the little pepper so was it really a Chicago dog? Pass on onion rings they were a little doughy … dipping sauce was ok. Service was quick when the guy realized I was at window.

It’s a hole in the wall. Small menu. They just do what they do, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Had to try a hot chili cheese Mett, and I’m always down for a Chicago dog. Both were great, and inexpensive. Well worth the stop.

I happened across Mr. Gene’s on the way home from work, I tried their Chicago Dog and a Hot Mett with chili and cheese and both were excellent. This is an old fashioned type of walk up or drive through hot dog stand, staff was very friendly and order came out fast. Highly recommend and I will def be back again!!

Great spot the large cheese Coney is just a regular length hot dog Bartlett is a skinny hot dog. It is the size of a regular hot dog bun. Good taste great long-standing community stop in the neighborhood.

This establishment is a better option than the other hot dog places advised in this city. There are plenty of options on the menu to choose from. Sit at the picnic tables or your car. The food will taste good. I had the Chicago dog and a Mild Chillie Cheese dog. I was full to the brim when done.
