Love the breakfast all day and the numerous, fun breakfast choices. Surprisingly large menu of lunch and dinner choices, too. Had the all-you-can-eat fish fry. Pretty good, I’d do it again.
Very good service. Coffee cup never got empty.
It looks small from the parking lot, but they must have 25 or 30 tables with plenty of leg room.

We were there on a Sunday night. Not super busy. Wait staff was very friendly and worked fast. Food came relatively quick and everything we had was good! Not many old diner style joints in butler anymore. This had that feel. Portions were plenty big and the prices were crazy like most places anymore. Kids were very excited when they heard their meal came with free scoop of ice cream!

I had a great experience visiting the Butler Valley Dairy location. It was exactly as I pictured. A classic, neighborhood diner with a traditional menu. It was clean inside. Restrooms were good enough. The staff was friendly and welcoming.
The menu is large with something for everyone. Diner classics for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I tried the open-faced hot meat loaf sandwich with French fries. It was delicious. The meatloaf was really tasty. Everything was hot and fresh. The gravy was perfect! It was a really satisfying dish. I would definitely visit here again.

I dine here often with friends and family and usually have a great experience. Service today started off great, we had Ameliah as a server and she was super friendly and kind, quick with refills and checking in on us. However once our food was ready we could hear the employee behind the line (he does not deserve the title of cook in my opinion) yelling at our server for not brining our food all at once even though he was fixing one of the plates. We had no problem with ameliah circling back around to grab the additional plate of food. Everything was good now or so we thought, however for the next 3-4 minutes the entire dining room had to listen to Anthony, employee behind the line, make nasty comments to and about ameliah, berating her and calling rude names such as dumb. Mind you the kitchen is open directly to the dining room and his tone was not quiet. Anthony’s behavior was completely disgusting and ruined my experience. I was not the only table bothered by this as the other customers around me were staring and looked uncomfortable. After he finally moved on I proceeded to watch him use a cellphone in the kitchen and go right back to the line without proper handwashing. If it wasn’t for ameliah and her kindness I would not be coming back. This behavior should not be tolerated and I feel bad for any employees there that management continues to allow this to happen as the servers said this is not the first time something like this has occurred and not been properly addressed.

Great food and even better service! We stopped in around 3:30 on Monday and it was wonderful. Our server, her name was Emma I believe was nothing short of amazing. She was fast, overall super happy and ready to serve. We will definitely be requesting her in the future. The food was delicious and everything and more. Definitely will be back!

This was my 1st visit to Valley Dairy and I was not disappointed. I was greeted by friendly staff upon my arrival and our wait staff was just like a breath of fresh air. The food was well prepared and delicious (you gotta get the beer cheese for your fries!) and didn’t take long to arrive at our table. All items on the menu are well priced so eating here won’t break the bank! Loved it!!!

Ordered at 945am and did not get our food till 1108…..that is ridiculous wait time and for the eggs sausage and hash browns to be cold when I got it only thing that was warm was the gravy. The waitresses were good but they are being put in a bad situation. If you need more cooks maybe the manager should help him or stop sitting tables till the cook catches up. Been here many times before but this was the worse experience I have had here.

What a nightmare. Aside from the atmosphere of the cute little diner I could not believe what they served me. I asked when ordering the hashbrowns for them to be crispy. We laughed and she said she hated mushy hasnbrowns I said I’m only mentioning it because nobody wants to cook hashbrowns long enough to crisp, I get it. But when the waitress assured me I trusted her. Everything was mushy! The one thing I even clarified STILL came cold and mushy. The bacon was limp as it can get. I just get so tired of restaurants shoving crap in front of us and expect us to be grateful. 1 star

My husband and I came in to have A date night without our baby. We were seated immediately, but nobody came to give us her drinks for about 15 minutes. The hostess ended up getting us our drinks, but nobody had come to greet us for the next 10 minutes. Tablesvsat after us were getting their orders, but nobody came to our table. Really disappointing, I used to love this place growing up. I noticed other tables were also up and leaving after not being greeted.

The one star review was a mistake- I think my toddler pressed a button!

On to a proper review: the restaurant was clean, the servers were very kind and friendly, and my food was pretty good. It took a long time to get our food, but I get that happens sometimes.
The curly fries weren’t my favorite, but I’ll try something else next time.
So sorry for the accidental one-star rating.
