I have previously eaten at a different Interurban. So naturally I thought it was a good idea, not so much. We had the Cheese curds as an appetizer(good) A Flamethrower Buger, w fries & sweet potato fries. my grandson had the Mac & Cheese.. It was not busy at the moment yet it took a long while to get our food. Which niether of us were impressed with the burger. Menu said it was a 1/2 lb patty. it looked like no more, if not smaller that a 1/4 lb’er. Must of been 70/30, I will say it did have very good flavor and just the right amount of spicy heat. My fries were way too salty, am glad I ate one before added any. Now the Mac & Cheese looked like it came straight out of a boxed Kraft Macaroni and cheese. My grandson loves Mac & Cheese, he took a few bites and didn’t want the rest. Overall could of been a off day. I will give the benefit of the doubt. With that it will be a hard pass next time simply because of the amount spent vs the quality of food received.

We ordered the bbq potato starter, chicken fried steak, ribeye, and honey chicken. The veggies were undercooked and dry, the potatoes were undercooked, and the muffins were not flavorful and dry. My honey chicken was very moist and the chicken fried steak was good. I probably won’t come back here.

If you ever get the chance to visit the interurban in chickasha, don’t. I had one of the “favorites” chicken fried steak with “seasoned” corn and mashed potatoes. The corn was your basic school lunch room canned corn barely seasoned on top. The mashed potatoes were instant and buried beneath the over cooked chicken fried steak. Sadly the instant potatoes were the hilight of the dish. My wife had a chicken quessdilla that was edible, but the rice was bland and unremarkable. My daughter enjoyed her meal of bowtie pasta with frozen chicken microwaved to perfection. The service was equally disappointing. We were at the table for probably an hour and a half and got 1 refill that we had to ask for after our glasses were dry for several minutes. I thought about raising hell to a manager, but decided to keep the peace and never return.

*Edit* It had been 3 years since our last visit and we mistakenly tried again. The southwest appetizer was mostly corn. My husband’s club sandwich had 4 deli thin slices of meat for 3 dry slices of bread, 1 piece of cheese (supposed to have 2 types), skimpy lettuce/bacon/tomato, and little else. No mayo or other spread to soften the dry bread. My chicken sandwich was tough, but the sauce was good. I had to ask for more than 2 tiny ovals of jalapeno. The fries weren’t good. The food was $55 with tea and tip. On the plus side, the salt shaker wasn’t nasty and the silverware was clean. We should have trusted our gut and gone to the city.*see the pics of both reviews**Original: Our burgers were good, but overpriced. My fries tasted stale, like they had been reheated. My flatware was dirty. The service was ok, nothing stellar. The salt shaker was gummed up, probably from baby spit. The whole experience was disappointing. Don’t think we’ll be back.

Stopped in late and enjoyed a top sirloin steak and baked potato. I’m not a huge fan of the potato or the muffin that was served with the meal, steamed veggies, and steak for the win, though. The server was great, I really appreciated the kind service, especially from younger kids when it was close to closing. I will definitely stop in again!

We were there pretty late and I’m just trying to defend the quality of the food by saying that. My husband’s chicken fried steak was burnt to a crisp, almost black. The waiter should have refused to bring it out. My hamburger that I ordered was undercooked, I ordered a hamburger because I thought it would be safe. It was so salty I thought maybe they spilled a salt shaker on it. I read that the restaurant had been there for years so we thought the food would be good. We chose this restaurant because it was still open after we left the Chickasha Christmas lights that was amazing!

I like Interurban, and it is the only restaurant in this area with good vibes and stays open after 6 o’clock. I give this a 3 1/2 & would have given it a 4, but the food and selection could be a little bit better, as far as taste and selection. Other than that service, vibe, and costs were reasonable.
