Another new adventure this morning when we went out for breakfast at The Perfect Cup. Such a busy place because the food is so good, great service, and a fun atmosphere. They have a coffee bar where you can fix your cup just the way you like it. They also have lots of specialty coffees to try. We will for sure go back because The Perfect Cup is perfectly perfect.

We really loved this place. When planning our trip with ChatGPT, this breakfast cafe was suggested and they truly delivered. Unfortunately we only stayed in Matlacha for a couple of nights but this place is one of the reasons we want to come back as soon as possible. Solid portions and fresh juice. Recommend!

Our first stop on our first visit to the area. The friendly service from Melissa and the great breakfast of the CornBeef Eggs Benedict, Cheesy Grits and The Meat Lovers Skillet were a great start to the day!

The Perfect Cup truly lives up to its name, offering a warm, welcoming spot for fresh, down-home cooking that hits the spot. There’s something on the menu for everyone, whether you’re craving something hearty or just need a great cup of coffee to start your day.
The omelettes are massive—definitely come hungry if you plan to order one! We tried both the traditional eggs Benedict and the corned beef hash Benedict, and both were absolutely delicious. Each came with a generous helping of rich, velvety hollandaise sauce that pulled the dish together perfectly. The traditional Benedict was especially memorable, made with a thick slice of ham instead of the usual Canadian bacon—a delicious upgrade.
The home fries deserve a shout-out, too. Thinly sliced with onions and perfectly seasoned, they were the ideal side—crispy on the edges and full of flavor. We also tried the French toast, which, while simple, was moist and satisfying without being overly sweet or heavy.
One of the best parts of the experience? The coffee. The Perfect Cup roasts their own beans and offers a self-serve coffee bar where you can sample a few different varieties. It’s a rare and welcome touch that adds to the cozy, relaxed vibe.
Overall, The Perfect Cup is a gem—casual, friendly, and full of flavor. Whether you’re in it for the food, the coffee, or both, it’s definitely worth a visit.

Lovely place to have breakfast or lunch! The food was all absolutely delicious and the coffee even better. It is true that you can get the perfect cup of coffee here. They have multiple options and you can help yourself to as many refills as You wish of multiple varieties of coffee. The only drawback was that we were there on a Sunday morning and we had at least a 45 minute wait to get our food. It looks like they had only two cooks in the kitchen to serve about 50 people. But we will definitely come back at other times. Be prepared for long waits on Sunday mornings.

Food was good (Caesar salad with fish, and a gyro. Coleslaw was nothing special)
Catherine our server was attentive and exceptionally upbeat. All 3 of the servers seemed to always have a smile on their faces. They obviously enjoy working together.
Coffee was good, many selections. They now have beer also.

Gets busy at peak times during season, but wait wasn’t long and was definitely worth it! Shrimp & grits were yummy (1/2 serving was plenty and had good # of shrimp). The scrapple was delicious, some of the best. We asked that it be cooked crispy and it was perfect! Also it may be homemade as it’s not cut from a block but rather rolled out in a slightly thinner thickness which we really enjoyed. Very friendly team, just be patient I saw them running here and there to take care of everyone and get seats ready. They have a serve yourself coffee station, so you can grab a cup to sip if you have to wait. But it only took about 10 minutes from time we walked in to being seated. It’s a great little gem and we’ll definitely be going back again and again
