Ive eaten Zankou several times and they are very consistent. The food is delicious! There was about a 20 minute wait and the price point is fair considering the quality of the food! Only thing is at this location dont expect restaurant service or smiles and guidance while ordering! Id suggest knowing what you want prior to arrival.

Had a late craving and this place was suggested by Google. The chicken was delicious the beef wasn’t. Had some odd flavor I couldn’t pinpoint. Would come here again for the chicken. BTW ask for their hot sauce its pretty good.

I love their food. I always have. You cannot go wrong with their menu selection of food either. I can honestly say they’re all quite tasty and filling. The staff are also quite friendly and helpful (at least during my most recent visit).
My only gripe is the very low and somewhat tight booth bench seating. I’m 6’1 and I had a hard time getting in and out of those seats. If you’re a group of 4 tall folks, that will be tough.
There are wheelchair / stroller access ramps with a good amount of parking spots too. If you can’t park near them, there’s also free parking at the lot next to it.

Chicken kabob plate / 2 grilled chicken kabobs, grilled tomato, marinated onions, rice, hummus, cucumber salad, pita, garlic sauce – 5 !
Some folks think whole chicken is the way to go at Zankou. Others like the vertical grill meats. I have a personal preference for their kabobs (but definitely enjoy everything on the menu).
Something about the Zankou Chicken kabob plate is magical to me. I’m a big guy, and this is a meal that never fails to fill me up. It is always made fresh to order, and the meats they use are tender and filled with flavor.
The kabob meats are placed on top of a bed of basmati rice, and the standard plate has cucumber salad and hummus. Every bite winds up being awesome.
This is the Burbank location. It’s in a place with a big parking lot, so there are no issues there. The decor is whimsical and fun. The place wasn’t crowded, so food came out fast for me.
If you are new to LA and want a Mediterranean meal that has many locations, Zankou is a great pic.

Honestly, Zanku has always been og. They’ve been a staple before any of the other Armenian/Mediterranean joints….this location has been around a long time. The last time I had them their chicken was very dry, it was so bad it took a couple of years for me to come back to this location. I was in the mood for a Lule Kabob so got the #16 combo (chicken and Beef) and the Falafel special which came w 2 falafel, lettuce and tahini (peep the pic) If you are a light eater (like myself) this is enough for 2 portions! The customer service was very good, the place was very busy on a Sunday around 2pm. Small rice portions and I wanted the pickled radish but was given the cucumber salad instead. (only get the radish with chicken) missing star*

The price is $40 for small portion and the food is not that great either will not be going back there. I’ve been eating at this place since 1985 when the first location opened up
Hollywood with my dad it was so much better back tent they ruin this restaurant it’s not the same. I went back on September 7 to give it another shot and everything was good. I was enjoying my meal. The last two pieces of the chicken kebab plate were not cooked fully. I asked for well done. The staff was nice. They offered to make a new one, but I was too disgusted it to have a new one. I do have my receipt and this could be verified through the staff if you like This
