Super friendly and helpful staff! Fun decor and music is at a good volume. But the pizza…way better than expected! We wanted to try some of the named pizzas on the board, but decided to play it safe on our first visit and just got a large mushroom. You can tell it was made fresh; I can’t say I’ve seen a pizza steaming like it was when we got it, mushrooms were very fresh, and just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and mushrooms. The crust had a good crisp on the bottom, but a really good chew. I usually prefer a very thin crust pizza being originally from the northeast, but this was amazing! The sauce wasn’t my favorite, but nothing notably wrong with it.
I was telling the guy who helped us that there are a few my son would like, and he said any pizza can be done by the slice, so we may be getting a “sampler” box soon

Moonriver is an absolute must-visit if you visiting, but even better for us locals. Always consistent with their options despite their busyness. Their Greek salads are AMAZING but the pizza truly stands out.
After a long day at the beach, there’s nothing better than stopping in for their incredible pizza options. The sauce is delish, vibrant, and packed with flavor — perfectly balanced and never too heavy. Paired with their fresh mozzarella cheese, which is creamy and melts beautifully, every slice tastes fresh and satisfying. You can truly tell they use quality ingredients.
The vibe is just as great as the food. It has that endless chill, laid-back island atmosphere that makes you want to kick back, relax, and enjoy the moment. It’s welcoming, lively, and perfect for families still riding that beach-day high. Laid back island vibes for the local surfers exhibited on the walls through the different artists here.
It’s always a fan favorite with our kids, and honestly, with the adults too. Delicious pizza, amazing sauce, fresh mozzarella, and a fun island feel — we look forward to it every single time we visit.

This place rocks! Our group did a large order for dinner and everyone unanimously agreed that everything was delish! We got a calzone, 2 pizzas, and 2 orders of cheese sticks all of which were great! Will definitely be returning to this spot whenever we are in town.

We live in North Carolina & have family that lives in Amelia Island. Every time we visit, our first stop is Moon River! It’s been our regular spot in Florida for 15+ years. Employees are always friendly and the pizza is always so delicious. We always get the white pizza & salads but have ordered others as well and they haven’t disappointed! We need a Moon River in NC!

2 pizzas and a salad will cost you around 75 dollars. The pizza is filling , lots of cheese and toppings that just slide off when you try to put it in your mouth. They charge an extra 2.50 to use your credit card. After two pieces of pizza you’re going to be full.

From the road the signage is quite subdued. Only the neon beer signs in the windows give you a clue that the business is up and running. The staff were very polite and I was served my two slices of meat lovers pizza in a timely manner. The ovens cooked the pizza crust perfectly and I the overall taste was outstanding. The tables and booths were kept clean and each table had several containers of assorted pizza condiments all filled plenty. The beer was offered in a can, bottle or mug. It was served at the perfect temperature. There were psycadelic paintings which were done by the owner for sale around the dining area walls.. All in all minus it’s poor signage I thought the service, menu and ambiance were all top notch.

We ordered 4 pizzas from here while on vacation and it was delicious! Unfortunately somehow 1 was ruined by the time that we made it from the restaurant to the beach (15 minute drive) we sat down and opened all of our pizzas up and the cheese from the cheese pizza was all melted to the top of the box. I’m not entirely sure how that happened but, the other 3 were amazing! This hiccup won’t stop us from giving them another try the next time that we’re here.
