We stopped by Fortuna Bakery & Cafe – Loop West for a latte and guava cheese pastry, and it was absolutely delicious! The latte was perfectly brewed, and the guava cheese pastry was a delightful blend of flavors—sweet and savory in every bite.

The service was excellent, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed. The location is charming and provides a cozy atmosphere to enjoy your coffee and pastry.

Overall, our experience at Fortuna Bakery & Cafe – Loop West was fantastic. Whether you’re looking for a quick coffee break or a relaxing spot to enjoy some pastries, I highly recommend stopping by. You won’t be disappointed!

I do not recommend it for breakfast, it did not please my taste. Something else that I did not like is the following: in my Spanish culture at Christmas time we make sure that everything looks nice and cheerful and that was not what I saw. The tables, chairs and floors were dirty and lacked maintenance, very sad for what I saw.

What a treasure! We are visiting family in the area and happened into Fortuna by accident. We enjoyed the MOST perfect coffee and extraordinary baked goods! The food quality and variety is reminiscent of what we have eaten in Israel and other fine European bakeries. Exceptional quality and service! The manager Chef Carlos was so warm and welcoming – -We will definitely be back, and when we relocate to the area will make sure to find the closest Fortuna to our new place!

Mouthwatering! The display cases were packed full of delectable, artistic desserts.
It was exciting just looking at the work put into the display cases’ presentation! Sandwiches, empanadas, teas, and coffees also offered.

Dining areas available indoors and on a covered outdoor patio.

Tables were cleaned promptly. Floors swept and clean appearing.

We recommend and plan to return!

I had a very frustrating experience at this Fortuna Bakery today, and unfortunately I won’t be returning.

I placed my order through their front kiosk at 11:21 AM and paid right away. My order included a sandwich, a waffle, four pandebonos, and a ham & cheese croissant. Two of these items were already prepared in the case, and only two items actually needed to be made fresh.

At 11:30, I asked how much longer it would take because I was on a tight timeline and needed to get home to my baby, who loves pandebono. I was told “five more minutes.”

By 11:38, nothing had been prepared, so I checked again and was told “five more minutes” a second time. Meanwhile, multiple customers who ordered after me were served and finished their meals. It ended up being almost 30 minutes for items that should have been quick. They then added that the waffle would take another 10 minutes.

At that point, I couldn’t wait any longer and asked for a refund. Even the refund process took several more minutes, and now I have to wait and hope it actually processes. Communication was difficult, and I eventually had to ask another customer to help translate.

What frustrated me most is that I wasn’t given an honest or accurate estimate. If I had been told the real wait time from the start, I would’ve chosen something else instead of wasting almost half an hour.

This was one of the most disorganized and disappointing bakery experiences I’ve had. I’ll be going to a different location moving forward.
