“Very disappointing experience.”

I visited this restaurant last Saturday (2/28) with a friend. We arrived around 11:00 AM and were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. However, the wait kept getting extended, and we were not seated until nearly an hour later.

During that time, several parties who arrived after us appeared to be seated before we were. While I understand that wait times can change, what really disappointed me was the table we were given. Even though there were multiple empty tables in the middle of the restaurant, we were seated right next to the restroom.

My friend and I are Asian, and unfortunately situations like this can make you question whether you are being treated fairly. I politely asked both the server and the manager (a short Caucasian man with short hair) if we could move to one of the empty tables that had not yet been taken. They told us those tables were reserved for customers who had not arrived yet.

There were two empty tables next to each other — one for four people and one for two people. I asked if we could move to the small table for two. The manager said both tables were being held for a group of six people who would arrive together.

However, that explanation turned out not to be true. Four customers arrived and sat at the table for four, while the table for two remained empty for about 20 minutes. Later, a completely different couple came in and sat there. They clearly were not part of the same group.

Being told something that turned out to be untrue was extremely frustrating and made the situation feel very unfair.

Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this restaurant and will not recommend it to my friends. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and treats all customers with fairness and respect.

The food and coffee were good, but the way we were treated left a very bad impression. I hope the restaurant reviews its seating practices so that situations like this do not happen to other customers.

Overall the place isn’t bad. A very long wait so one of the people in our group called ahead to put us online. It’s very busy here and the staff try hard to get to everyone but it looks they are also dealing with the demands of others so it took a while for the staff to take our order. I may have made the mistake of building your own omelet as it seemed pretty basic. It might be worth going very early or calling a head. Maybe avoid the build your own omelet. The good thing is that is was not as expensive as other places and the coffee here is great.

We came for breakfast for a classic American-style meal. Portions are huge— think generous plates that could easily feed two people! It was all not tasty just standard and service but was fast.

Make reservations if you can, bc this place gets packed. For good reasons too… menu is insanely well put together, and the location has ample parking surrounding it. Best part, it’s on the river walk with a direct skyline view. Of course you should visit here. Service is great as well.

Nice place right by the water… the views are amazing and they have outside seating as an option. My egg white omelette with veggies inside was really good and seasoned to perfection. And the pancake had oats inside of them and it was amazing. The quinoa bowl was also seasoned perfectly and it was great. They were packed when we went on a Saturday morning, but we got lucky to be seated right away for a table of just 2. Any party larger than that seemed to have had a wait. Def recommend eating here. Staff were really friendly and accommodating to our needs.

It was my first time having Shrimp and grits, and I was impressed!! Fried chicken tenders were a little dry, but the waffles were great. The wait time is a bit long though (a little over an hour).

The experience was good. It wasn’t something unique. It was just like a regular diner. The service wasn’t bad at all. The server was really nice. We had to wait a little bit to get our table, but it wasn’t nothing crazy, just like any other place.

We went there for breakfast today. It was our first time and we loved the place. Since we had reservations there was no wait. The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff is really friendly, the food was delicious and reasonable priced. The owner walked through (and also helped out) and greeted the guests.
Overall a very pleasant visit and we can only recommend this place.

Turning Point is the perfect brunch spot for great views and value for money. We had a booth by the window which was lovely, the overall atmosphere was very chilled. The food portions and quality can’t be faulted as we were stuffed for the rest of the day! We ordered three meals (shared between two) and two drinks and it was less than $50. The only fault we had was tidiness – our table had some food and rubbish underneath from a previous customer and the bathrooms weren’t the cleanest. Saying that, overall we really enjoyed our brunch and would still recommend taking any visitors here.
