I’ve lived in this city forever and always noticed how busy this place was, but somehow never stopped in. My sister and I finally went last night and I’m so glad we did.
The vibe is super cozy, with different seating areas, booths and tables tucked around several fireplaces, plus a bar area. They bring out complimentary garlic bread when you sit down, crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside, and absolutely delicious.
We each got the $16 personal pizza deal with a side salad and drink. The pizza is thin, wood fired, crispy, and flavorful, cut into six slices, about the size of a small at most other places. Definitely a great value. The salad had fresh cucumbers and tomatoes, we added cheese, and the ranch tasted homemade.
We also ordered the homemade asiago cheese sticks, which were fantastic. Super crispy outside, creamy and cheesy inside with that sharp asiago flavor.
Our server was friendly and attentive, refilling drinks without us having to ask and offering the dessert menu. I ordered the peanut butter cream pie and the chocolate mousse pie. Both were excellent.
Our total was around $70 for two people, but I definitely added some extras. We arrived just in time to be seated right away, and by the time we left the parking lot was filling up fast. They’re clearly popular. They also offer Monday through Thursday specials, so it’s worth checking those out.
There’s plenty of parking near the surrounding stores and restaurants. It’s a few miles from the main I-75 exit, but absolutely worth the drive.

Very slow and inattentive service. Waited over an hour for our dinner. Sauce was tasteless, thick and bland; was almost a gravy. Waitress seemed to ignore our table, knowing that our food was not correct. Also, we were served moldy tomatoes on the salad. When asked, the waitress seemed to know about the moldy food? We were offered to have one of the meals removed from the bill; which I appreciated. Absolutely do not recommend this resturant.

I have been going to Ruggaro’s since they were on Chevy Ave in Flint. Years went by before I accidentally found them again and I couldn’t be happier. Food is fabulous, service is great and it’s worth the 30 minute drive. I always buy extra for my freezer Highly recommend

I’ve visited Ruggeros for years, usually getting the Regular Lasagna. Consistently good, today was no exception. Love the sauce.
We ordered a shrimp skewer and crab cakes to start. Crab Cakes were low quality, battered and obviously frozen from a bag. Disliked that the appetizer was delivered at the same time as the entrees. Server was friendly but running around.. seems like they need more help. My iced tea wasn’t drinkable, extremely old. The booths and atmosphere need updating. Overall not a great experience if Im being honest. Will eat here again but OnLy for takeout.

We waited several minutes to be seated. They had a large group they were tending to, so we understood the delay. Unfortunately we were given one of the waitresses that was tending to that large group, so we were basically ignored. She took our order, then 10-15 minutes later, she told us they were out of an ingredient in my husband’s dinner. He quickly changed his order. After waiting about 45 minutes, my husband wanted a glass of wine, so we had to flag a different waitress since ours never returned. My food was decent but my husband was horrible. He turned the pizza swirl over and noticed they were burned. He pushed the plate away. Our waitress asked if he wanted to take them home and when he said no, she just said “okay” and walked away. The other waitress brought our bill but since no one came to take our card, he had to get up and find someone to pay. We later realized they overcharged us! Over $50 for a flatbread, an appetizer and a glass of wine?! No way! Our waitress clearly was concentrating on doing a good job for the large group that would give her a large tip. We were there over an hour and were ignored. Worst experience and the food wasn’t any better.

Another great lasagna dinner at my favorite restaurant!! Still one of my favorite places. Been following them wherever they go since they opened on Chevrolet Ave. Different owners now, but they kept the original recipes and added some new items after changing hands. Great staff, service and food.

The fried ravioli app was too greasy or grease soaked on at least one or two. Flavor was decent. The artichoke and service is what saves this rating from being lower. To be fair I didn’t order anything other than the apps.

Great food and fantastic staff. This was my first time eating at this restaurant and I’ll definitely be coming back. The waitress was very attentive and able to answer any questions that we had. Also, the pasta primavera was delicious and paired well with their bread sticks.

After spending $78.61 my mother got sick from a pizza and maybe some wings. The server I had service was phenomenal, but she tried to argue with me about the food quality. I never asked for a full refund. I wanted her refund back for the food that she ate the money I spent. My mother is now hospitalized, and the owner agrees with the server telling me that they will give my mom a free meal she’s never coming back and neither will I or my family.
